My stay at this ryokan has been perfect, starting from the very warm welcome I got once arrived, followed by small gifts (candies and a cup of green tea). The staff also helped me with my luggages to the upper floor. Upon arrival, there is the possibility to book a 30-minute onsen private experience, which I greatly enjoyed, as well as the internal garden that was stunning at all hours of the day. The breakfast was delicious, Japanese and Western style on alternate days, abundant and carefully made. Good variety of drinks available and free refill. The room was extremely spacious, cozy and clean, the interior design modern but traditional at the same time. There were also a mini bar (with 2 bottle of water to take for free), tea bags, cups, glasses and a teapot, as well as a yukata. Main toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, etc.) were also provided. I particularly appreciated the staff, who was super friendly, kind and helpful. They helped me with the shipping of my luggages from a previous hotel I stayed in, and although it wasn't managed directly by them, they were so kind as to get in touch with the other hotel and speak Japanese with them on my behalf. It is rare to see this level of care for the guests, and this is what made the difference for me. Although it's true the ryokan is a bit far from the city centre, it is worth mentioning that it is close from the train station (approximately within 10 minutes away on foot) and there are a couple of restaurants nearby, as well as Don Quijote and Daiso. Neighbourhood is also relatively quiet, so it is perfect if you want to stay away from the buzz and the noise of cities.
