The apartment was really well-located and the bed was very comfy. It also felt secure and the roof terrace was really nice.
Arrived in the evening to find that no provision had been put in place for our late (19:30ish) arrival. We waited outside the property for half an hour whilst we waited for an employee of the local tourist agency (who held the key) to come down and let us in. This wasn’t explained in the ‘check in instructions’ on booking.com.
Unfortunately, our disappointment continued with a very dirty kitchen, filthy dishcloth and pots and pans that had not been cleaned before being placed back in the cupboard. The oven also had used trays in, with detritus from other guests left on them.
Furthermore, the fridge wasn’t plugged in, and there were dead insects on most of the surfaces/ floors throughout the property. Perhaps a sign that no one had been in for some time.
I appreciate that we weren’t visiting during peak-season but still feel that if rooms are made available on booking.com, then they should be presented as advertised, not left in disarray.
We felt that with a proper clean and a more seamless check in it would have been a far nicer place to stay!
