If you want an Authentic Italian experience this is the place to visit.

The location was perfect and everything including beaches were within walking distance. Our host met us at the property after midnight due to a flight delay and the check-in was smooth and easy. If you want an Authentic Italian experience this is the place to visit. Not in a Tourist Ghetto with thousands of other tourists. One feels part of the community seeing the locals talking to each other on the streets in the evening and walking the esplanade along the beach. The accommodation is not 5-star but absolutely perfect for the experience. The value for money at this property well exceeded our expectations The location could not be better and the views are stunning. The old town is definitely worth a visit in the evenings. Plenty of restaurants and plenty to see and do.

This is not a negative comment because it added to the experience. To visit Bari is worth every second but for those without a car taking a bus, is easier. Taxis are not that often seen in both Bari and Giovinazzo and communicating in any other language apart from Italian is not always possible. The buses are frequent. Not meant as a negative comment. Just do not expect the streets to be buzzing with taxis in both towns as it is not the case.

Great for stay with friends

Great location- seconds away from rock beach with clear waters. Lovely apartment with all the facilities that you need. The town felt very safe and you're not far from shops, restaurants etc. Will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay

Kitchen and bathroom fully equipped, you can find anything you need, exactly as at home. Dario and his family were very helpful, friendly and we would like to come back once again. The apartment is at perfect location, really just few steps away from the sea, port and old town. We really enjoyed our stay.

Only thing is the couch/bed, but we read about it in reviews, so it was not surprise. Would take the experience to higher level, if there was proper bed. Breakfast is more like a snack, at least for us in czech. Don´t know how it is in Italy. But there are supermarkets and caffe´s so you can have breakfast according to your taste.

Perfect location, close to the sea and in the historic center!

The best location if you want to rest in a great village of Puglia. The old village is wonderful, we didn't expected such a nice place. The fresh renovated apartment is perfectly located to swim in the warm sea and go snorkeling. You just have to cross the street! We also tasted olive oil in a local property which was a great experience and the visit of the Trulli in Alberobello (1 hour driving) is really impressive!

Just to improve something, it would be better to have a real bed in the main bedroom, the couch is not so comfortable and noisy.

Good

The location is great near the harbour.There are 300m to the centre.Many restaurants, very good food!For this I return.The host are very helpful and its explain all you want to know.Thank you Dario for information and for your disposability to take us from airport!

The breakfast is very poor and the bed is a sofa not so good.The apartment don't have windows and the balcony is not in front to the harbour and sea.Sory Dario but I must tell this.

Exceptional

A very pleasant accommodation in a building of character. A friendly host and a quality service, a punctual reception and a communication possible in several languages (Italian, english, french...). Special attention and flexibility. A really beautiful walled city by day and especially by night. Many small restaurants and bars, perfect to make your stay romantic or festive. Thank you very much!

A romantic place

An amazing old building located right next to the sea, in a breath taking town. The owners were very nice and willing to help, the room spacious, with a fully equiped kitchen and bathroom. Don't miss the sunrise moment from the balcony! La Balconata sul Mare is a very good point to explore the Puglia region by train or by bus, at very decent prices. The old town and the harbour located next to the property are also the perfect places for romantic walks, also for testing the great local cuisine. The entire area is preserving the local culture, so you will have an interresting insight on the authentic Italian life.

Very good

Lovely place - and very close to the sea. Dario and his family were very welcoming and attentive to our requests. The apt was very clean and has everything you need. The town is wonderful and the beach is very close and very clean. The family brought us lovely fresh figs and took us to the airport and were very responsive.

The main double bed is actually a sofa bed - so we put this away ( as I dont like sofa beds) and slept on two single beds put together that were on the mezzanine in the main room. That was better but a little hotter. The balcony is shared, very narrow by the apt -and the apt is at the back - and the family lives on the front sea facing part. There is no bike or car rental we could find- but the station is about 1km away.

Superb

It was a very nice stay in Giovinazzo. The owner are a very generous kind warm family . I was very to meet them. They brought us at the end of our trip to the airport. It was the best stay in Puglia. The flat was nice and clean 2 min fron the stone and sand beach. They show me the fish and vegetables market and other places to buy stuff. If you like cooking you can use the kitchen in the flat. Thank you for everything.
