Walk the 36 acre property or relax by the campfire --choose to hike Black Mountain, the tallest mountain on the shores of Lake George, appropriate for all ability levels (2 miles away ) -- relax at the Washington County Park with a gorgeous beach, lifeguards, tennis courts, swing set, basketball courts located in Huletts Landing (4 miles away) --Rent canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards at the Marina -- golf for the day. Your options are endless - Summer fun, fall foliage, skiing, ice fishing, hunting all at nearby Adirondack Mountains. Other nearby attractions include Lake Placid, Lake George Village, Historic Fort Ticonderoga, Saratoga Casino & Racetrack and various attractions in Vermont. Come get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks! I've stayed in several cabins on vacation and this is definitely in my top three. The cabin is spacious, quiet and comfy with a large television and a blu ray player for a relaxing movie night in if the weather doesn't cooperate. The cabin is clean, organized and well stocked if you forget something. There were plenty of sleeping areas and the beds are comfortable. The owner communicated all the info that was needed and more. We had an awesome stay, 5 out of 5 stars.

We got really lucky and had clear skies at night, so the stars were in their full glory. Check in was a delight and the entire experience was lovely.
One note: Most things in this area are open Tuesday through Saturday and many things close at 4 PM.

We arrived a little early and the owner's mom was still finishing up with making the bed. We had a lovely conversation about the history of the house and her family. She told where we could go in the area and was very helpful. The owner Wendy was available for any questions we had and let us know of any issues in the house.
The house itself was quite large and comfortable with two bedrooms upstairs and a bath. There were extra beds in the house for additional people. The kitchen was fully stocked and we took full advantage of this. Overall we had a wonderful time and I would most definitely go back again.

The location was perfect for us our 15 year old son & friend. They enjoyed exploring the property & having fires at night. We loved the beach just down the street. It was so nice to have the essentials when we arrived. We really appreciated having milk, eggs, bread, etc. Not being right near Lake George provided us with many exploring options in New York & Vermont. Thanks for sharing your peaceful home with us!

Super accommodating
We have never stayed in a VRBO where we get a welcome gift, stocked fridge with 2 dozen eggs, milk, butter, condiments galore etc. and a stocked pantry. Supplies in bathroom typical items you might have forgotten. All the wood for the fire. Comfortable beds super clean, games and toys for the kids. Super welcoming. We highly recommend this place. Very clean. All the towels and wash clothes you can ask for. We went without nothing. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be sure to stay there the next long weekend we have. We were also allowed any veggies in their garden And rasberries. Beautiful home with a beautiful serene surrounding. So peaceful and quiet.

We checked into a very comfortable, clean home and enjoyed smores over a fire in the backyard. The property was within short driving distance of several hiking trails that we thoroughly loved. Wendy was very responsive and helpful answering the questions I had. We had a great time.

Delightful family getaway
The house is well equipped, kitchen well stocked, maintained and very clean. There are plenty of entertainments to keep everyone occupied within. For sure we all enjoyed exploring the yards and the woods within this huge property itself. There are trails, a brook, finding berries and fruit plants was a delight. The property is relatively close distance to beaches,
lakes, pizza, Chinese, dinners, ice cream parlors, Walmart, etc. Did I mention there is a horse in the property? Our kids absolutely were thrilled. The host’s parents are in the property. They are very kind, accessible, helpful and as if they are not there so you do have privacy. We can sit all day here enjoy nature’s simplicity. If you want a secluded get away but close enough to enjoy any outdoor activities but still and the tourist crowds of Lake George then I highly recommend this spot. We’ll be back!

The property was beautiful and was an amazing get away for us for a week! Wendy made sure that we had everything that we needed. The kitchen was stocked and there were so many extra pillows and blankets. We loved feeding the horse Shadow carrots! Very peaceful property.

The house is in a great location, close to both Lake George and Vermont, on a pleasant private property, easy to find. The place was very clean, well equipped and cared for. You fell very close to nature even at the house and the area has spectacular hiking opportunities. We had a triple rainbow over the house on our last morning!

Great stay.
We all had a great time. The house is the cleanest we have ever rented and we've rented quite a few over the years. Quiet, well appointed home, great property, loved the firepit and Shadow the friendly horse. Still looking forward to trying the complimentary pancake mix and maple syrup. Thank you!!

great spacious country getaway
very comfy spacious well appointed place with lots of land around it and outside a very small town. We enjoyed hanging on the grounds and driving around adventuring.

Nice and quiet but in the need of an update
We had a wonderful time for our summer holiday, close to the lake and beautiful hiking trails. The property is rustic and quaint with real Adirondack feel. Peaceful and quiet but in the need of an update

Fantastic
Super great location for fishing lake Champlain. And plenty of room to park 4 trucks with boats and could fit even more. House was super clean and Wendy was right on top of everything, and her mom stopped by to make sure we were ok or if we needed anything. We will be back in July. Thanks again for a great stay!

Comfortable place with added details
We enjoyed our stay here. Wendy was quick in responding and made sure our stay had everything needed. The added touches from fresh flowers, local maple syrup, coffee vouchers and stapes in the fridge and pantry were a plus. Wendy went above and beyond to make sure enjoyed our stay. We wanted for nothing. Internet made my daughter happy and we loved the area. There was more than enough room and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was close to everything we needed and knowing her parents were next door made my daughter and I feel safe. It was charming! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Wendy for a great stay! Looking forward to more returns!

Perfect place to relax, hike, enjoy the views.
Lovely location. So many extras, including milk, cream, butter, eggs and other goodies in frig, a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the dining room table to greet us, and a jar of maple syrup for us to take home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals. Bedrooms were good size. Nice views from the house, and its close to many great hiking trails. House instructions covered everything we needed to know. Will definitely consider a repeat visit!

Everytjing we needed after a hectic month and week per say, super natural I would go back tomorrow if there was availability for sure. I loved the family vibe, you guys welcomed us not only as guess but family we love it! plus all of the secret getaways.
I will for sure go back once or twice a year if available.

Just like Mary Poppins-practically perfect in every way!
A lovely and relaxing stay! Plenty of space inside for 4, plus the deck with chairs and an umbrella table make it especially nice to enjoy meals outside. A giant yard and a friendly horse corralled on the property, all with the backdrop of the gorgeous mountains. But what really took it over the top for us was the many thoughtful touches throughout the home. Wendy stocked everything that a traveler might need-from Band-Aids to ketchup, Kleenexes to firewood. Forgot your phone charger? Need an extra pillow or blankets? A sweatshirt for chilly evenings around the campfire? Salad dressing? She’s thought of it all and stocked it. The owner’s parents live next door, offering us a friendly welcome and local knowledge of nearby places and routes. Great location too- far enough away to feel like you’ve unplugged, but within easy 20- minute drives of beaches, hiking trails, and stores. We highly recommend this location for your vacation destination. We will be back for sure.

Home away from home
From the get go, the owner ,Wendy, made us feel right at home. We arrived late in the day and had no way to get to a grocery store. We found eggs,milk,yogurt,maple syrup,and pancake mix waiting for our use. What a thoughtful gesture which we really appreciated.
It was great to have our own place for 2 weeks while exploring the area. Wendy had lots of literature about the area along with helpful hints on area services. Thank you again Wendy,Sue and Mark for making our stay a memorable one. Loved the gift certs to Historic Grounds,an area restaurant,which we highly recommend.

Worth a stay!
I loved this location, it is secluded and tucked away and absolutely peaceful. The home is extremely cozy and everything you could possibly need is on site!!! I would love to make it an annual trip as I felt extremely comfortably and I slept like a baby! My husband and I and two sons (aged 2 and 4) all
enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful rest.

This property is a great vacation choice! So peaceful, quiet and clean! Wendy, Sue and Mark were Great! Everyone was friendly and so helpful. The house was roomy and had everything you needed away from home. My son loved the visits with the horse too! The area is beautiful and we can't wait to come back! Thank you so much!
