About this house rental
Nestled in Oak Island, this attractive house for $458 per night is a great option for your next break. Relax in a brand new 2011 oceanview home with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Inverted floor plan to maximize the ocean views. There are 2 oversized, covered decks with plenty of comfortable furniture to kick back and enjoy the spectacular ocean view. Oversized gourmet kitchen with granite counters and island is a perfect spot to enjoy that happy hour drink. Kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel appliances and all the comforts of home. Master has a 55" flat screen and other 3 bedrooms has a 42"flat screen TV mounted on the wall with HD. The great room has a 12 foot vaulted ceiling with a 55" HDTV with full surround sound, blue ray disc player, and outside deck speakers. Outside hot and cold shower to wash the sand away. Short walk to easy beach access just across the street. Master bedroom with king bed and full master bath. Second and third bedrooms share a buddy bath and have 1 king bed and 1 queen bed respectfully. Second floor bedroom has 2 queen beds and has a full bath with private entrance. The cleanliness, open spaces, upgraded plumbing and appliances all make this stay one that was truly enjoyable. Having stayed in other house of similar design with disappointing interiors and descriptions that did NOT match the reality of the home, we found this house to be exactly what we paid for. The home was clean when we arrived and checkin was clear and successful as was our checkout. The rooms were just as described and the updated bathrooms made for a wonderful experience. Location from the beach was very doable and the views even back where we were (only 1 1/2 blocks away) were divine. While we did not use the TVs in the bedrooms much, having them there for our adult children was GREAT! We did not use the cots but we did find the toppers to be helpful with some very hard mattresses in the bedrooms. But that did not stop us from really enjoying this wonderful open, clean, and modern home. I would recommend the drapes be screwed into studs on the walls as we noticed some were dragging from being pulled so hard over time. We would definitely stay at this clean and open home again!

House is one block from beach access and you can see the ocean from the top level deck. There are no bathrooms anywhere on beach so close access to the house was great. We saw dolphins everyday from our deck. It’s not on the main road, so it was quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed. Only negative was the mattresses are showing age. Overall, it worked wonderfully for our crew.

Great location, excellent house. They had everything we needed from the fully stocked kitchen to beach toys/chairs. Everything was very clean and we loved the ocean view from the balcony! The host was very accommodating with our requests and we would definitely stay again!

We loved sitting on the top porch and looking at the ocean and cooking in the spacious kitchen with an ocean view as well.
It was a very short walk to the beach which was great with 3 little kids. There were beach chairs and lots of toys for the grandkids.

The house was very comfortable for our family of 10. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We did replace the can opener and kitchen scissors as they didn't work very well. It was a short distance to the beach. It was great to sit on the porch and listen to the ocean.

Enjoyable week with family. We didn't move our vehicles for 3 days just hanging out in this cozy house with plenty of kitchen room to fix a big dinner. House comes with a charcoal grill that served up some great steaks. The location of the house allowed us to walk to the beach and to the pier, where also our new favorite restaurant is located...The Island Way. I recommend the Seafood platter. You can drive down the back roads to the Publix as well which was a huge plus. The house has comfortable beds, and very nice bathrooms, as well as great decks to sit on in the mornings and the evenings. I will definitely stay there again! The owner Mike was very quick to respond when I asked a question. Great experience!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was in a great location for beach access. Our favorite part would have to be the upstairs porch area. We enjoyed drinking our coffee and seeing the ocean in the distance.

For those who daily track their steps, it is less than 350 steps from the kitchen to the beach! The view from the top floor balcony is beautiful and relaxing - especially with the breeze. Our entire family had the most relaxing and rejuvenating vacation ever. The house provided space for every family member to do whatever they wanted - reading, playing board games, napping, cooking…. And the kitchen is so well stocked with all you need to cook for a family. Thanks Mike! It was truly a wonderful vacation and you are a great host!

The house of many steps was very nice As I’m 80 the steps were a problem for me. The others in our group managed well Simple to rent ,was as advertised,contact with owner was easy. Had light problem and the local contact came by and took care of it . The view from the upper deck was spectacular. Waves were heard at all times. The sky was blue every day. We have been to Oak Island many times . This was one of the top 2 . Thanks for a nice vacation. The Potters

Very clean, beautiful home, fantastic ocean views, very well equipped. My only suggestion would be needs an elevator, too many stairs for 60's age group but grandkids loved it!

Great place for multiple family vacation
This property is in a great location and has great views of the ocean from both decks. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for all my family members and pets who came. House was equipped with everything we needed. Had to contact the owner only once while here and he quickly responded to me. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wanted to stay in this area who needed a house of this size.

Wonderful Family Vacation
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this house. It is a short walk to the beach, and had several chairs and beach toys for my kids to take with us. The house is really well taken care of and decorated nicely. The beds were comfy and all the bedrooms were spacious. My favorite part was sitting on the deck, having my morning coffee, while watching the waves. We will definitely be back again!

Steps away from the beautiful beach. Great walks in the neighborhood with boardwalks over the marsh. Spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the sun and the view. Big bedrooms, big kitchen, big TV. Had a lot of breakfasts and lunches at Island Jo. Visited nearby Southport and ate candy and/or ice cream at many stores. Great vacation,

Right at the beach access point, couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Beautiful home! Great kitchen upper area with a great view of the water. Loved having coffee on the deck each morning. Beds are very comfortable and house just worked great for wife and 3 adult children. Highly recommend this property and Oak Island. Super responsive host as well! Thank you!
