The location of the Garage was good & a 10 minute walk brought you to a busy thoroughfare for buying provisions & a good selection of places to eat & drink, albeit it is an uphill walk back to the Garage, the area is called the Uplands after all! I particularly liked the electric security gates on the property which allowed me to park my motorbike in the knowledge it would be secure. It's good to have a self contained accommodation & it felt like stepping into your own little house.
As others have mentioned in previous reviews the ceiling height can be a bit restrictive due to it being a converted garage, but it does say that in the description & would not be the most comfortable for really tall people. Maybe a contrasting colour on the ceiling would alert you to the difference in height ? The kettle is a bit awkward to fill in the shower room due to the sink tap style. I found the shower water temperature unsatisfactory to set as I had to rotate the control back and fore initially to get the hot water selected & then it remained constant. Having made the initial booking through Booking.com (which I'm always happy with) I wasn't happy with the seemingly 3rd party involvement where you had to upload either a Passport or Driving Licence etc. and then be presented with extra costs for extra checkout time etc. On Booking.com I'm sure I had seen the checkout time as 11:00am whereas the 3rd party stated 10:00am & was requiring a £10 fee to change that. Mixed messaging!

The hosts were nice.
The room is a garage conversion, very very small shower toilet on bottom level, the shower had a mind of its own mainly cold , would be helpful if there were instructions of how to use . Plus if you are on the larger size the shower room was so snug you may find it difficult to navigate. You then go up stairs so if you are not good with stairs do not book . There is a sloping roof either side with a taller part in the middle, however, the bed takes up most of that so kept bumping our head so spent most of the time not staying upright so didn't bump head. The bed was comfy but so low to the floor it was often difficult to stand up after a sleep.
The place is in a place called uplands which is all hills , there is no where to stroll to for a drink, without having to navigate the hilly roads.
The town centre and beach are around 30 to 40 min walk maybe longer , we didn't walk we got ubers or local taxi around 7 pound. Overall hosts were very nice but if you want a walking holiday around the streets then this is great and spending most of the time hunched over wasn't pleasurable. It wasn't for I'm afraid .
