We LOVED our stay here. It was a great starting point for hiking the Ruta de Cares in the Picos de Europa (40 minutes away) but how delightful to discover another fun hike "Camino Encantado" just down the hill. 6.5 miles that takes you through beautiful woods and farmland and three small towns. Elena was friendly and helpful and the views were stunning. The fruit trees are a bonus.

Hidden up a hilly track, this beautiful cabin was a wonderful location for a tranquil, bucolic escape. The garden offers gorgeous views of the Picos de Europa, whose mountainous trail are only 30 minutes away, yet the beaches of the Asturian coast are even closer (we recommend Playa Toranda). Elena was a very friendly and helpful host. All in all a terrific week in an agreeably lesser-known and under-touristified part of Spain.

The house is fine for 2 and has a superb position with views of the mountain peaks. The garden is lovely and well kept with orange and lemon trees. Elena is discreet but on hand and helpful with local advice. Disappointing though is the poor quality of fittings. No wifi, no oven, cooker hob with only 2 working rings, takes 5 minutes to boil a pan of water, cheap saucepans which easily burn food, blunt kitchen knives. In the bathroom, the shower takes several minutes for water to run hot and then the tray does not drain properly so fills up. It is not a cheap rental. With some maintenance improvements, this would be a 5 star property.
