As advertised - this property has fabulous ocean views! During low tides you can walk along the beach rocks all the way to downtown Ocean Beach. It was a rainy weekend when we were there, but still enjoyed the comfortable living room furniture hanging out with friends and looking out on the great view of the ocean. During warmer termps - this place would be great for those who like to hang out at the beach and enjoy exploring the tidepools.

The house was perfect! Right at the ocean, close to restaurants and things to do. Layout of house was great! There was enough kitchen stuff for my family of 5. Views are gorgeous! Described the house spot on. Highly recommend!

When we arrived (around 10:15 pm), the master bedroom and bathroom had not been cleaned and sheets/towels had not been changed. We were able to contact the owner of the property the next morning, and it was taken care of while we were out sightseeing. A rocky start BUT, the condo was lovely, the view was spectacular and our grandkids liked the little beach below the condo the best of all the beaches they went to. Ocean Beach is a wonderful, funky community and we will stay there again - most likely in the same building because the location was close to everything. The instruction/information book needs to be updated, however!

The property blew us away. Everything was pretty much prefect about it. The place was spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms were also spacious and the beds themselves were so nice I desperately searched for a tag or brand so I could buy one for myself when I get home. The location is close to all that is going on in OB but just far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful around the unit. 10/10 will definitely be looking here first for any future trips to San Diego.

When we arrived we had a code for the front door - no code for the front gate or the parking garage -- nothing ever mentioned about needing additional codes - the cleaning lady was still on site - she let us in the gate and informed us of the codes for the gate and the parking garage -- she assisted us with our luggage as we had no idea we were on the 2nd floor - my emails included the fact that we were four sisters all in our 70's --- get the picture... the unit itself was fine - the view spectacular. Finding the unit with the instructions took over 45 minutes after we reached OB -- really! Turn towards Bacon -? which way - needless to say this along with the lack of codes was not the way we wanted to start our time together in OB. We had a good time overall but will never used VRBO again.

Great location. Walk to everything. Beautiful little cove below the unit or a short walk to a bigger beach. Parking is so nice to have - a must for San Diego or Ocean Beach. Would not be good for handicap - stairs. We’ve stayed here twice and hope to come again!

From months before our stay, the owner was communicative with us about our stay. When we arrived, we were blown away by the view! The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful this vacation home really is.
The home had a lot of things in the kitchen to use for cooking etc. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Just knowing we could walk a few steps to the ocean was so nice. Downtown Ocean Beach was walkable and was a great option for us for dinner nights.
Overall, I would give this place an 11 out of 10 because it was way better than I expected. I appreciated the communication from the owner and we loved the time by the ocean. We plan to rent again here.

This property was perfect for our vacation which was a mix of visiting sites and just relaxing. It is truly within walking distance from many restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the beaches right below the property and also at Ocean and Missions beaches. All were different experiences. It was also a great place to take day trips to Los Angeles, San Diego Zoo, and walking on the waterfront by the MidWay. The condo had everything we needed and was comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.

The front door lock did not work when we arrived. The property owner arrived within an hour to make sure we had access then he took some time to make sure we were well settled in. Quick response. And the condo is as promised on the ocean cove, easy walk to restaurants and nightlife, and quiet. We will be back!

The property sits above a couple of smaller beaches with cliffs that are easy access. During our stay we swam on the beaches below and Ocean beach just a few blocks away. We enjoyed the zoo, sea world, lake Jennings and walks by the bay and viewed awesome sunsets off sunset cliffs. The weather was perfect during our week long stay. The house is well stocked, quiet and secure. One of the best vacations we’ve been on for sure.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Right on the beach, just a few blocks from lots of stuff to do. The kids could’t get enough of the ocean waves that rolled into the cove. Would definitely recommend.

This condo is just minutes from the zoo, SeaWorld, Belmont, Midway, Cabrillo and Balboa. It has stunning ocean views, three large bedrooms with comfortable king size beds, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living space and a dedicated parking area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we’re delighted to explore the shops and restaurants that are within walking distances. We had no issues with the gates or keypads. Be aware that this condo is the top floor, so there is about 30 steps to climb from the garage to the condo. The carpet could use a cleaning, but everything else was great.

Had a wonderful stay. I have attempted to contact the property manager to notify him that one of my guests forgot to rerun some Keys’s but I have not heard back. I would like to have them mailed to the manager as soon as possible but need an address. If I don’t hear soon I will send them to the condo address.

Top floor, one side of 2 x 2 condo. Ocean view is amazing, but you won't be watching from Patio in pictures, as those are for the downstairs units. Balcony is TINY, fits one chair only. Location is great - just bring ear plugs, as you are directly under a flight path from the airport. The "secure" garage door was not working (although the owner will repeatedly insist that you are doing it incorrectly) which was then propped up with 2 x 4 by the maintenance, so don't leave anything in your car and lock it. The front gate was rusted out of shape, so it has to be kicked in to be opened. The carpet in the unit was not just "soiled from the last renters" as it had stains and embedded dirt all over it. The dishwasher worked, but the top rack was broken. The beds had a sheet of plywood under the mattresses, due to broken box springs and wear. The showers had cracked and permanently mildewed caulk. I'm not a prima donna who needs everything perfect - I lived in 100 and even 200 year old homes. Things get old. But they need to be clean and maintained. This house was not.

The apartment we had hoped to rent and confirmed via phone with the owner is not the one we were given on arrival. Robert doesn’t even own the apartment pictured in extensive photos on the VRBO website by his own later admission. Broken furniture and a nonfunctional dishwasher containing dirty dishes plus badly ripped screening in the master bedroom and broken, uncovered electrical outlets make this a poor value in our view, even with the ocean view.

The condo was very clean (I am a neat freak). Loved the fact that it had 3 rooms with king beds. Bedding was perfect. The condo is spacious and has everything you may need. We enjoyed the beach every morning, since it was right there, literally. Check in and check out processes were a breeze.

After looking at other property listings that provided ocean front stays, we chose this one because it provides king beds in all the rooms and parking wouldn’t be a problem. We weren’t disappointed. The bedroom layout worked perfect for our family. Our son and his family had their own 2 bedroom area with their own bathroom. My husband and I took the ocean view master suite. I slept with the sound of the ocean coming through the open window and enjoyed my early morning quiet time in the bedroom chair with ocean views. Our 13 year old grandson spent a lot of time climbing the rocks and looking for crabs in the tide pools. There were many dining options in OB when we were not sightseeing SanDiego.
The master bedroom bed is lumpy with a definite dip in one side, as reviews have stated. But we still slept well. Maybe it was the sound of the ocean 😊

It was the view that drew my attention to this property and it did not disappoint. Watching and listening to the waves crash against the rocky shoreline was entrancing.
From a practical perspective the condo had all the basic supplies and kitchen gadgets we needed. The fireplace was a nice touch on the colder nights. The secure parking was a nice feature too.
The only challenge I encountered - which is why I gave it four stars instead of five - was the uncomfortable living room furniture and the lumpy mattress in the master bedroom. If you can overlook those things you’ll love the space.

Fantastic! Nice condo with a $1,000,000.00 view! This property has everything you need and more for your stay (at least for us it did). And, it has a secure parking area under the building! Fantastic as parking is at a premium in this area. We really enjoyed our time in this condo and would stay there again without hesitation.

This would absolutely be five star but for some little things. Supply real bar soap, fix the front gate, get a a few staples to start guests off and a complete drink shaker that has a top. That is just small stuff. The location makes up for everything! Highly recommend this accomodation.

Gorgeous view, walk to Ocean Beach
Stunning views, wonderful touches like the decor, bedding and games! It’s right on the cliff that has stairs (stair only access, around 32 stairs) down to the beach cove areas. There are two little beaches that you have to maneuver down some rocks to get to. It’s a public area, so there were lots of people there on the beach and rock areas. It was fun to people watch from the balcony.
It’s really nice that all three bedrooms have king beds and a small balcony. There are two nice bathrooms. Robert was always very easy to reach, allowed us to drop our luggage early, and responded quickly.
The main issue we had was the door keypad was confusing, and the gate’s key was missing and that keypad didn’t work. So in addition to the dozen stairs up to the condo (it’s on the second floor) each time I had to enter through the garage and walk up those extra stairs, in order to let my friends in at the gate. The door keypad is a black, flat, blank panel, and looks like you should have a card to touch on it, like at a hotel. Just know that you have to push the lower left corner to wake it up, and then you can enter the code. I hope he adds that to the access instructions. We pushed all over it (after I called Robert) and finally got it to work.
There were some issues with the unit showing a bit of age (like any condo by the ocean) but the condo is really nice and clean and beautiful. There’s a keurig pot which we liked, and water from the fridge to refill water bottles. There are beach chairs and other fun things in the garage in front of the one car spot where you can park. We didn’t use those chairs and things, but it was nice to know we could.
We walked into Ocean City and ate at the restaurants, got groceries, everything. It’s about a 10 min easy walk on the street, or go down the beach and walk to town, and see the little tide pools along the way. It’s not easily accessible for anyone with issues walking or climbing, as the stairs down are steep, and the paths to walk on are sometimes large rocks that you have to take big steps up or down to. It’s not a sidewalk or paved along the coastline, but it’s not a bad walk and if you can maneuver a bit, it’s a must do.
We took Ubers everywhere into San Diego. It was a great location….a bit confusing for the drivers (it’s a back alley area).

Amazing views!!!
My family and I rented Robert’s place while visiting our son in the Navy. The location was ideal and it’s approximately a 10 minute walk to the village where there are many shops and restaurants. Curb appeal was lacking due to some rundown properties on the street but we were pleasantly surprised once we entered the house. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and the views out of the living room window were breathtaking. Very well-maintained, pictures do not do it justice. The keypad to enter was a little tricky and there are separate keys to get in and out of the door that you access to get to the private beach area. The parking space is incredibly tight so a smaller vehicle would be ideal. There are plenty of chairs available, wagon, etc. for the beach. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the necessities. We utilized the balcony quite a bit and kept our windows open overnight to hear the waves crashing on the rocks.

We agree almost word for word with Emily F's review from May 2022. I'll list a few more thoughts our family thought of:
Pros: The location is excellent being oceanfront and a few minutes of walking got you to several great restaurants and shops. Views and ocean sounds from living room are incredible. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Easy access to beach stairs. Kitchen very well appointed. Bathrooms adequate with good water pressure in showers. Smart TV's were excellent as was the WiFi.
Cons: In general, the codes/keys/gates were a bit confusing. Unable to enter front gate from street. Note that the photos in the listing are mostly for Unit 4 and the Virtual Tour is from Unit 3. Balcony in our rental (unit 3) was smaller than expected.
We rented a Honda CRV for the week and it fit decently well in Unit 3's spot. It would possibly be a tight fit and difficult to negotiate the garage's "tightness" with a larger vehicle than a CRV.
Originally, our review would have been a little longer. But, as mentioned before, Emily F's review was spot on and can be considered an addendum to ours. Overall we were very pleased with the unit and very much enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful Ocean retreat
We had a wonderful time at this property. The location was awesome as we were no more than half hour from anything we wanted to do. The views from the master bedroom and living room were just amazing. Sleeping at night listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks was incredible!! Contact with the host was easy and he always responded quickly. We were given a bad phone number by VRBO so I e-mailed the host to call me and within one minute after sending the e-mail, my phone rang! I was impressed! Yes there are a few things in the property that could be fixed up, but they were minor and didn't affect our enjoyment, I didn't even bother contacting the host because they weren't a big deal and we were too busy with our schedule. We had a great time and hated to leave. We would gladly stay here again if we make it back this way again.

Beautiful View! As advertised! Ocean Beach was a terrific little town, walking distance. Also enjoyed La Jolla, Sunset Cliffs and dolphin boat tour out of Mission Beach.
