About this cottage rental
This charming historic cottage is attached to our home and is our year round guest house. It sits in a quiet cove with access to the 5 larger lakes around it. It is 5 miles to the town of Millinocket and is easy to get to. It's a wonderful place for water activities or just relaxing by the water. It's also a great jumping off point for the Katahdin region including Baxter State Park. We have a paddle boat,two canoes, and three kayaks available. Bird watch, leaf peep, moose watch, white water raft, hike, kayak, swim, fish, x-country ski ,snow shoe, ATV, snowmobile or just relax and enjoy the view. We are close to a network of trails. Just leave the house and hit the trails.

Wonderful old 1906 house. Lots of antiques and so comfortable. Our hosts were charming and explained the history of the place and also gave us a tour of the yard, where the kayaks and boats were, the firepit and the many birds in the yard. Wish we could have stayed many days longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay......

We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay at this beautifully and lovingly maintained property. Faye and Don were incredibly warm and friendly hosts, and provided us with some fascinating history of the area and home, as well as great tips on where to sightsee. Everything was so cozy and comfortable, and the setting is absolutely picturesque and gorgeous everywhere you look. This is truly a gem of a place and we both can't wait to come back again for another visit, for a longer period of time!
