Helen and Mervyn were very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was comfortable. Breakfast items were provided (cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt, bread to toast, marmalade etc.) for us to prepare for ourselves. This was fine and we could eat at our own pace. It just wasn't what we had anticipated as we're used to the treat of a cooked breakfast when away - but maybe I should have read the description more clearly.
The bathroom was described as 'private' but we hadn't realised this meant it wasn't ensuite. As the bedroom door didn't open/close easily we were conscious of disturbing one another and possibly the owners when going to the bathroom in the night. Also the fan was very noisy, which we felt could be disturbing.

Hosts Helen & Mervyn are great, very welcoming, Mervyn's wheaten bread is excellent, but be warned he likes a slice himself!
Maybe a set breakfast, but thats maybe because I'm lazy and love a Cookstown banger!.
