You only really need to bring food, body wash/shampoo and clothes. We were rained in the first 3 days of our stay so we ended up watching their movies, playing Xbox, building wooden structures, and reading their books. Once the weather cleared, the boys went fishing at dawn and dusk and played on the beach every day. Our dog was too scared to step foot in the water but I think he appreciated all the new critter smells. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, an electric griddle (!), and plenty of plates and utensils. Lots of bath towels, beach towels, and even a towel for the dog. There was even a stocked first aid kit with a tube of much-needed hydrocortisone. We enjoyed our stay on the lake and hope to visit again in the future.

We had a great time and found our stay to be very relaxing. We really appreciated how well-appointed and clean the cabin was. The owners truly thought of everything. The other cabins were far enough away to feel private. Having a morning coffee on the screened in porch was my favorite part of the day. We enjoyed playing badminton and volleyball on the property courts. The equipment provided was all in great shape. This camp has been well maintained and cared for and the grounds are beautiful. The sunsets are definitely something special here. Best enjoyed down by the water with a campfire and a s’more :) (which the owners were gracious enough to provide the ingredients for!)

Steep incline in front of cabin with big step up to house

Mattress needs to be replaced. Kitchen well stock for cooking. Canoe and kayaks not used due to steep slope. Cabin is lake front behind several trees. Not the best for older folks with knee or back problems. Enjoyed sitting on the beach. Did catch a couple fish in the reeds, but be careful of the mud. Lots of games and toys for little ones, in case you have children. Very quiet community of 9 cabins. Owner provided good communication, for check in, but wish we knew about steep slope to cabin entrance and blocked view, especially if sitting in the screened in porch.

Lovely retreat

The cabin was clean and as depicted on the listing. The bed was so comfy! We did get some night lights as it was pitch dark at night and it helped having those to navigate. The walking trails were ideal for our dogs and were clean and well groomed. Overall a really nice little cabin. Wish the furniture on the porch was higher and comfortable as it would have been nice to sit out there at night but it was not appealing. The double Adirondack chair in the front of the cabin was a dream spot to sit and read and take in the peace of the lake. The access to kayaks etc, was a treat as well. Well done Jessica and Rick!

Great cottage and great location = great family vacation
Great cottage and great location = great family vacation
The cottage is just like the pictures shown on the website and it has everything even more than what you need. The location is awesome as the cottage is inside the woods which makes it cool in the sunny day. The lake with gorgeous view is right in front of you. The best part about this lake is the shallow area so widespread which you can swim or wade around. Perfect for kayaking or fishing. Very quiet place for you to stay away from the city noises. We includes our dog all had a wonderful vacation here.

A week in paradise!
A week in paradise!
This is the perfect Maine camp. I wish it was ours! Angell Cove has nine cottages in a wooded area with serene views. We loved that there was space between the cottages and the limited amount of people made the neighborhood very peaceful. It was never rowdy. We met some great people who have been coming for years, and they were all welcoming. It’s the kind of place you could see becoming your summer family. Rick’s camp was spotless (hard to do with a Maine cabin!) we were never disturbed by bugs or grime. We loved that the decor was a perfect mix of classic camp (quail theme, knotted pine, braided rugs) and updated comfort (fantastic beds, a coffee bar, TV area in the loft) honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. A ton of sand has been added along the shore to make the beach inviting. We spent a lot of time there. This side of the lake has a high clay content making it shallow and swishy. Our kids (3 and 5) didn’t mind wading in but know beforehand that the water isn’t really suited for adult swimming. Thankfully Rick provided water shoes we could borrow and that helped a lot. The highlights for our family were kayaking to the black sand island, sunset campfires on the shore of the lake, watching cargo trains go by a few miles down the road, and listening to loons and owls at night on the screened in porch. We loved it here!
