Situated in Carrabassett Valley, this attractive house for $850 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This is a great house sitting 500 yards off of the West Mountain Chair at the top of Sandy River Circle looking out to the Bigelow Range and the Crocker Bowls. Ski into your back door through a private glade off of tower 20.! There is a wonderful fireplace to sit by or to watch while you're cooking in the kitchen. A great house in which to take your vacation. There is a jacuzzi tub off the master bedroom. You can catch the shuttle right in front of the house every 30 minutes or walk 600 yards to the lift.

We had an amazing time at the cottage. It is very user friendly and right off the west mountain. Unfortunately the chair was closed but we could skin to the top from the cottage. Very confortable for a party of 11 friends, would highly recommend.

We stayed here for two nights for ski races. The house was spacious for 11 athletes and coaches and very well appointed. Super kitchen and the ACTUAL wood fireplace was ready to go when we got there. Will certainly return!

Choosing to rent a ski lodge in August means your not likely to have a mowed lawn, if you are looking to do outdoor activities (which we were NOT, so it didn’t matter to us) be aware of this. Kitchen wrap (cling wrap or baggies) would have been helpful! We would bring these next time.

We enjoyed the property, easy access to Sugarloaf. We had a group of 9 and plenty of beds and space to relax. We stayed mid week so we couldn’t ski on to the nearby lift because it wasn’t running but could back, if needed. Nice fireplace and open kitchen living area.

Overall the house was great. We had plenty of room to spread out and came well stocked with all the essentials and then some. Had spices, and some extra odds and ends from prior renters which was helpful! When we were there, there was logging happening on west mountain so can’t speak to the ski in but shuttle is convenient. We had some trouble with the heat and the owner was quick to reply and give us instructions. Overall would stay here again.

What an amazing place to stay! The house was gorgeous. We just had a snow storm and it was so cozy to snuggle in at the fire place and play games. The shuttle literally was right there for us to get to the mountain. The owner was so great and communicating and the house literally had everything we would need. Our family would absolutely book again!

The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. Unfortunately the lift near the house wasn't running but the bus at the end of the drive way is great! Snowed about a foot while we were there and the driveway was plowed and sanded before we got up.

The trail home was through the woods...so be aware if you choose this route! We ended up right at the back of the house. We got dropped off on Saturday morning at an inlet 30 seconds from the house (you could walk from the house) to access the West Mountain Chair. We were able to pick up the shuttle home right by the main lodge! We had a blast both skiing and snow shoeing through the woods all weekend long. Also very close to market for food, drinks, wood fire, and anything else you may need.

One thing that may have made the stay a little easier would be a guidebook with more information on wifi login, thermostat, check in and check out procedures, trash, shuttle information, etc just so we didn’t have to reach out as much! Great stay!!

Great host and location
Spent thanksgiving with family and it was a great space and great location. Great access to the mountain and all trails. Everything you need is already there and really had a great time. I would recommend to larger groups and families.

I sent the host a few messages that were not responded too until I called and texted them. No instructions on entering or leaving the property. She did call me the night of our stay. The house is large and accommodating. Needs some TLC and updating. Good for large groups.

Spacious, but not Luxurious
This property was very spacious, so it is great for a large group. But the listing description of a "luxurious" getaway is just not accurate. Furniture and décor are dated and tired, bathrooms especially. There were no check-in/out instructions or booklet with helpful info, as we are accustomed to finding at other properties at which we have stayed. The host was responsive and flexible, but I had to track her down for basic things like figuring out how to get into the house; not having adequate towels; not being able to get the heat to an appropriate temperature; etc. We enjoyed our time there, but mostly *despite* the disappointment of the property/hosting experience.

Perfect spot for our annual ski trip!
This house was perfect for our group; spacious, clean, and comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools, plates, dishes, etc. we needed to feed our big group. It was easy to get to and from the base lodge with the shuttle, which stopped right at the end of the driveway. Couldn't have asked for a better stay- thank you!

Christmas ski getaway for 3 families
Beautiful house with lots of space - not set up with sheets on beds, though, and very noisy downstairs toilet (like a siren when flushed). Thin walls, so you hear every footstep and conversations, but other than a few nitpicky things like that, a wonderful large house, perfect for several families.

This house was a perfect fit for our crew! Owner was very accommodating. Skiing in and out was very challenging in March because of the muddy roads shuttle service could not make it to our location, we had our far share of walking.

They took our large damage deposit for no reason.
House is great but we stupidly got damage protection just in case. They kept our extremely large amount of money because of excessive oil use - in the middle of January. That is not a damage, that’s someone using your house. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Excellent location and accomidations
We had 4 couples staying in this home. All were very impressed with the newness of everything, the homey comfortable feeling everyone felt and the excellent fireplace all enjoyed. The owner was very helpful and even put up a decorated Christmas tree for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for an unforgettable Christmas vacation.

Beautiful Property, Friendly Host
Beautiful home, close to slopes. We had a wonderful time. Large, open common areas, including the upstairs living room, kitchen, and dining room, as well as the downstairs family room, allowed plenty of space for our group to relax together. Kitchen is modern and well appointed; bedrooms are comfortable.

Perfect accommodation for a large family
I couldn't have been happier with the property. The shuttle picks up at the end of the driveway and you are at the lifts in minutes. There was more than enough space for a group of 10for sleeping, cooking, bathing and relaxing unwinding after a great day of skiing. Jill was a pleasure to communicate with and I couldn't recommend this property more.

Perfect for a ski Getaway!
My son and I really enjoyed our three days at Sugarloaf. This property is clean, inviting, and close to the ski slopes. The feeling of walking to the slopes for first tracks on a snowy morning is just the best! Brought me back to my high school days. Nice fireplace, and plenty of bathrooms. Nice House, but needs some TLC.
This is a really nice and comfortable home with plenty of room. We did have some difficulties with our stay. We had trouble finding the house at night since it was snowing and the home locations are not well marked. When we finally arrived close to midnight, we opened the lock box to find that the key was missing. We called the owner and she had someone from the condo association come up to open the home, but we never had a key during our stay. When we first arrived, the home was not well cleaned and there were no towels. We found wet and dry laundry in the washer/dryer in the basement and eventually found some towels in a closet that we washed. After contacting the owner, she told us that she would have someone bring us clean towels, but we never received any towels during our three day stay. The home was poorly maintained and needed some TLC. Many lightbulbs were burned out and the main smoke detector was off the wall with no battery. All toilets were very loose and didn't seem to be well attached to the floor. On the last morning of our stay, we noticed water dripping down from the master bathroom onto the kitchen floor. The water tank from the toilet was loose and was leaking. I called and left a message for the owner. She did call back that day and spoke briefly with our son, but never contacted us at any time after our stay. This home is very nice but I would not recommend it due to poor customer service.

Perfect location, very comfortable house
This place is awesome. We've been there for a week, four families and six young children. The house is big enough, so you can't feel on top of each other.
The house is also very well equipt, always warm, lots of towels, nice showers and bathrooms.....
Sugarloaf resort is just great, hoe they run business, ski school (especially for children), rentals....
Shuttle service is excellent. No need for a car and if you don't won't to stand outside, just give them a call and they'll tell you when they're coming by.
We are definitelly going back.

Great house!!!
I got married at Sugarloaf in March and had a fabulous stay at this house with the wedding party! It was very well laid out and there was lots of room for all of us. It was very clean and had everything we needed including plenty of dishes, towels, a pack n play, extra blankets, and ample parking. Best of all it has a great location, the shuttle comes right out front to get you so you don't have to drive anywhere or worry about parking. Jill was very response and helpful. With the rush in and out of the house to setup, rehearsal, and the wedding, we some how lost the keys, and I was dreading calling thinking she'd be so mad, but she was very understanding and told me not to worry about it which made my morning :) I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to people!
