Just around the corner, there are 2 grocery shops and a bakery cafe with delicious Costa Rican Coffee and pastries. It's the perfect place to start your day. The newly renovated kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. With a brand new cooktop and beautiful granite counter tops, cooking is a pleasure in this space! Two of the bedrooms boast queen-size beds and one bedroom has two twin beds. All bedrooms have air-conditioning to keep you cool at night.. This condominium is perfect for families. There is even a kiddie pool area for new swimmers! Samara itself is a lovely beach town, packed with delicious restaurants and activities. The waves are perfect for beginner to advanced surfers, and several businesses that offer rentals and lessons. Sign up for the canopy tour, to view the landscape from the tree tops. You can go horseback riding on the beach, or just relax at the local bar. Fishing, dolphin tours and snorkeling are also readily available at very reasonable prices. Whether you come for a week or a few months, Playa Samara is a wondeful destination to immerse yourself in tico culture, unwind, and enjoy. Pros: Super cute condo. Decent sized bedrooms, friendly neighbors, the property manager is friendly and super responsive (thanks Isamar!), the pool is awesome, good security, kitchen pretty well stocked.
Cons: the common areas are small for 6 people, the walk to downtown Samara takes more like 15 minutes on a busy road (it’s about .6 miles), the coffee maker is undersized for 6 guests, and there are no lounge chairs/comfy seating outside. Minimal cleaning supplies available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in Samara. The three bedrooms worked out wonderfully for us as it allowed for our teenagers to have a separate room each. It is a great location being a short walk to town and the beach. The neighbors and guard in the apartment complex were also very friendly and even invited us to a potluck Christmas dinner. Stacey was very helpful and responsive with our questions leading up to our stay.

We had the nicest stay at Las Palermas. The home was immaculate and welcoming. It was perfect for our family of 5. A close walk to the beautiful beach or busy town center. We met the most helpful and friendly people while lounging in the pool. We would love to stay again and highly recommend!

Very close to the beach. Other tenants were very friendly. Some were long term renters. Had a few issues with the showers but they were quickly fixed. Very responsive.

They built the condo complex around a very nice pool area where many of the guests gather to socialize. It is an easy walk into town and to the beach with a general store almost next door for basic food and other necessities. The condo itself is clean and the bedrooms are comfortable, however the kitchen/common area is relatively small if you have 6 guests staying here. Our biggest concern is maintenance, as the towel racks fall off the wall if you put a towel on them and the water fixtures need to be replaced. With a little work, this would be a great place to visit again.

We loved our stay here in Sámara. The condo is in the perfect location to beaches and local sodas. Town isn't too far but far enough that it's very quiet and peaceful here. The other owners and residents that live and own here are wonderful. The pool is very clean and the perfect temperature. This property is monitored by 24/7 security who are very friendly. The condo was clean and perfect for our family. The ac works great and it's well stocked with everything you need.

Great little condo!
We loved the location (5 min walk to a beautiful beach) the pool, and the community. Stacey was great with communication. Samara is a wonderful town to visit and this was a great home to stay. Be aware there is no general living room, due to the layout of the condo, but we all shared the outdoor patio space. The security and gardeners are very sweet, one even brought us a watermelon! A couple extra pillows on the twin beds would be nice; the A/C was great and working quite well. Overall, I would love to stay here again!

Many good parts like the pool and the space of the sleeping rooms but what we disliked was that our daughter was locked in one of the rooms and the key didn’t work to open the door. Als the kitchen cabinets need replacement and the WiFi is terrible.

Lovely
Our stay in Samara, Costa Rica at this property was lovely. The three bedrooms were nice size with 2 bathrooms for our privacy. We were able to have a grilled meal on the property-charcoal even included. Howler monkeys in the trees north of us-who could ask for anything else. Thank you.

The stay was very very nice. Condo was very clean, had everything u needed. Well maintained pool area with 24 hour security, not that u needed it. Perfect location. Far enough from town but just a ten minute walk to center of town. Beautiful beach just 5 minutes away. Lots of stores and bakeries within minutes. Owner was very quick on answering any questions we had. Would I stay here again, definitely! Also, didn’t have to worry about lugging water as the tap water was excellent for drinking.

300 yards from the beach
My sister and I loved this property. The beach was 300 yards away and on the way there is a field of beautiful horses and their new born foals. We had breakfast with Alice at a near by soda and everything we needed was in walking distance. All of the tenants at the condo are extremely helpful and kind. The 24 hour security in the gated community made us feel very safe. After a long day at the beach we were able to shower, each having our own bathroom, with fantastic shower pressure. The air conditioning made for great sleeping. Everyday I walked into town to have coffee and sit on the beach. We also traveled to 4 other beaches and went into the highlands and got home by dark. The beds were comfortable and the property well maintained. I hope to visit this wonderful property again. We also rented a golf cart for part of our stay, took a dolphin fishing excursion and thoroughly enjoyed the week long holiday festivities at the fiesta's the city of Samara had in the horse field across from the condo.. The permanent tenants had a Christmas Day feast for all of us and we enjoyed relaxing in the pool after long excursions during the day. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful place to stay in Sámara. Enjoyed the company of others staying in the complex as well
We took advantage of all it had to offer from getting fresh red snapper at the local fish market and grilling it, to leaving the rental car behind and walking into Sámara for a meal along the palm tree path, eating at a great soda on our walk to the beach one morning, using the pool, met and shared life with some of the other guests, and buying groceries around the corner at Iguana. Highly recommend Luv Burger for a meal and Cocos for Mexican food. Check in was easy, place was clean, and location awesome. Drove to Corilla beach but enjoyed Sámara the most. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Many who stay at the complex are repeat vacationers. And I can see why.

The condo could a little maintenance--master shower and a couple of the a/c units. Wifi sketchy, though info booklet is out of date, some of the residents helped. Only sitting area is on hot patio with no breeze or view. Not comforable. Residents were very friendly.

Home away from home!
Our family of 6 was very comfortable in this condo during our 16 day holiday! Our kids enjoyed the pool and we loved the short walk to the beach or downtown. The laid back and quiet atmosphere was perfect for us. We will definitely be back!

This has been one our best vacations ever!!! What a treat to get away from cold snowy Vermont.
The Condo was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The other guests were very friendly and helpful. The proximity of the condo to town was perfect.....within walking distance. We either walked or biked everywhere. Great having a pool on site too.

Beautiful condo in the beautiful town of samara
Our family spent 9 nights from march 29th to april 7th at Stacie's condo and we had a fantastic time! Condo is close to everything you need! Samara is a beautiful place and I would recommend it to anyone! We loved the atmosphere at the condo! Great for families! The condo we very clean and came with everything you need in the kitchen which is nice for a long stay with a family! Melissa the property manager was very accomidating and helpful!
Our kids loved the pool! We have not one complaint about this condo or samara:)

Lovely condo!
We just left, after a wonderful 4-week stay. Las Palmeras is a lovely complex, only 16 condos, with a nice pool area, great neighbours, and a wonderful property management/maintenance/security staff. It's far enough away from 'downtown' Samara to be quiet, but only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach or downtown, and walking distance to several grocery stores and restaurants. We rented bikes for our stay from a local family, a bargain at $25/week and a great way to get around.
The condo itself is very nice. With 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, 6 people would be very comfortable. We used only the master bedroom/en suite, which had lots of space and closet storage. The kitchen is well-outfitted with dishes and pots/pans, including a slow cooker.
We really enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend it!

Nice place
It is a quiet, safe and 200 mtrs.from the beach Apartment, located near from other beaches such as Buena Vista, Barrigona, Garza. The condo is comfortable and with the necessary to enjoy in family, I would have liked it to have television for my children they but could survive without it.
The person who greeted us at Samara is very friendly "Melissa", the WI Fi signal is quite weak, but for me it was no problem.
If you want to rest and relax with the family, this condo may suit you.

Wonderful stay, as described
We had a wonderful time staying at this condo in Samara! It was very much as described in the listing and the reviews of others. The owner and the local hostess were wonderful and helpful! The rooms were all very clean and the kitchen provided all of the essentials for us. If you go out of the condo complex to your right, there is a little grocery store and little café. The walk into the downtown from the condo is a little far for a quick meal or with many people. So we were glad to have our rental car. It is nice though that it was a little outside of town as Samara is a nightlife town and we enjoyed the quiet and rest. There's a beautiful view from the pool area of the beach and we loved the afternoon pool times. Overall, it was a quick but wonderful stay in Samara at this condo! I recommend it!

Great way to start our trip
Finding the property was not a problem at all. We were a bit surprised that it was a condominium complex -- I suppose we shouldn't have been -- but were thinking it was more of a detached style outfit. It's a small facility with a dozen or so units, top floor/bottom. It was clean. definitely more than adequate for my husband and I but we had run out of options for the xmas holiday. If you're not a walker, it was a bit far into the main strip in town where the restaurants were. I'd say about a mile. The biggest disappointment was not a single lounge chair around the pool, so essentially it was useless. We ended up in town by a restaurant and "rented" a lounge chair on the beach to lie around all day one day. One day we rented bikes and rode to Playa Carillo, even more sedate than Samara. The laundry facilities were a bonus so we could get everything clean before we carried on to the next spot. I would recommend this more for a family that's rented a car.

convenient, safe, practical nook in lovely Samara, Costa Rica
Our unit was part of a small condominium complex, just 14 or so units. They were situated around a pool which also sported an outside barbecue, a covered terrace with tables and chairs for eating or playing cards and a laundry. The property was fenced and there was 24 hour security manning the gate. Samara was not a particularly dangerous place, but having 24 hour security was really a plus on many fronts. The complex was half owners and renters, many from Canada. They were cheerful, polite and easy to interact with. There was a covered parking area as well. The units themselves were small and efficient. Ours was a three bedroom in the middle and had a lovely little terraced porch area where you could find some shade any time of the day. Most of the other units used their porch as an outdoor kitchen, which made sense to me after we tried cooking our dinners a few times. The layout of the apartment was a small front room that was the kitchen and eat-in area with no air conditioning. Off the kitchen were four doorways: one to the master bedroom with its own bath, another to a large bedroom with 2 twins, a third smaller bedroom and the last door was to a good sized 2nd bathroom. These rooms were all air conditioned with individual units. You could cool the kitchen off by opening the bedroom doors but we felt that was an inefficient and expensive way of cooling the kitchen, so we didn't do that. Cooking became oppressively hot, so we rarely did more than boil eggs or make coffee. The kitchen itself was a little creaky, but had everything one needed for basic cooking, but not much more. The unit was completely clean and ready for our use. I was really happy that we were in this condo-complex and not in a single family house further down the road or outside of town. And we were very glad we were not situated actually in town because Samara is surprisingly busy: restaurants, shops, everything one really needs in town.
Small complaints were that the owner had put out minimal things for our use, like one beach towel per person, the master bedroom had one large bath towel for each person and just one hand towel between us. Beach equipment like chairs or umbrellas were not included in the rental. The property manager was difficult to contact and not particularly helpful.
The location was really fantastic. The owner is very responsible and easy to communicate with. We would certainly come again and rent from her.

Had a fabulous time!
We recently stayed in Stacey's condo for 2 weeks in July 2015. We were a family of 5 with 3 adults, an 8 yo and a 1 yo. All, with the exception of myself and the 1 yo, had stayed in the condo before, about 4 years ago.
The condo offers a nice size patio with a couch and chair, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms (all with nice A/C, however we had a difficult time adjusting or turning it off - user error) Also, all rooms including the patio had ceiling fans which were well used and very effective. We didn't want for anything in the way of the condo. We truly enjoyed everything about it and would definitely stay there again. With our 2 week stay, housekeeping came mid-stay and cleaned, which we were not expecting, a nice surprise.
The grounds are well kept with gardens, a nice pool and when we got there a Ranchero (palapa covered sitting area with several tables and chairs to meet and get out of the sun or rain). Mid-stay they tore the Ranchero completely down with plans of building a new one. We are anxious to see the new one and missed it when it was gone. Attached to the Ranchero is a laundry building with two coin operated washing machines and two dryers. They ask you to pay $1000 colones per cycle (roughly $2 US) and you supply your own detergent. It was a wonderful plus for us to have access to this with two kids, not to mention we are light travelers and need to wash our clothes since we wear them several times throughout our holiday.
The complex is in a perfect location. Between the complex and the beach is a pasture filled with horses and cows. We enjoyed seeing them all the time. The horses take walks around town, down the street and on play on the beach, it is really pretty cool. Just around the corner is a large tienda which offers pretty much anything you might need as well as a bakery with fabulous goods including sandwiches made to order.
Town was a short walk, maybe 4 blocks? And the town is awesome with plenty of shopping and restaurants. We ALWAYS felt safe and for the 1st time ever traveling in Costa Rica we didn't see or hear about any petty theft in that area. The locals are very friendly.
I have spent a total of 10 weeks traveling in CR throughout a span of 12 years and have never seen as many howler monkey's in one place as I did just across the street from the condo complex. We heard them day and night and were able to get within 10 feet of them on several occasions. What Fun!

Spacious condo in a great location !!!
This spacious 3 bedroom condo came well furnished, well equipped and in a great location. The gated complex makes you feel very secure and the pool & grounds were very well kept.
In fact one afternoon, we got to watch a large family of Howler Monkeys from the pool area, directly across the street, going from tree to tree, it was very fun to watch. We loved this place and would definitely return again !!!

Clean bit had a few issues
The condo worked well for the size group we had (6 adults). The bedrooms were clean and the bathrooms were spacious as well. The kitchen was a little small and in need of some repair. Only two people could work in the kitchen at one time. There wasn't a table and chairs for meals. The only gathering place was outside. The beach was amazing and having the grocery store so close was a bonus.
