Paradise in Paradise 5 of 5 We loved everything about this wonderful, light flooded house: the magnificent view, the beautiful pool, the lush green garden, plenty of bedrooms, being woken up by the sun in the master bedroom, great kitchen with everything needed for being your own chef and the generous living room with a huge full HD TV. Wifi is perfect all around the house. The location is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with only a 5min drive to Kailua Beach Park. The property manager was extremely responsive and supportive in every possible way. We enjoyed every moment of our marvelous stay and are looking forward to coming back some time in the future. Review Submitted: Nov 23, 2015 Date of Stay: Jul 2015 Source: HomeAway Jennifer J. Secluded Hawaii Oasis - would definitely stay again 5 of 5 Lovely property, more secluded than the usual Kailua property due to being against the hillside on a dead end street. About 15-20 minute walk to the beach 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen beds, one with a twin futon Bedrooms have A/C Main house has large kitchen with gas cooktop and electric ovens No A/C in main house but breezes are good Shared laundry with permanent tenants downstairs Pool is large and solar heated. Shallow end is about 3 1/2 feet deep so not for tiny kids. Hot tub on side deck is nice. Lots of TVs throughout house/ cable. Wifi throughout house as well; worked great. Property manager is very helpful and responsive!!! Overall property is above average for Kailua (I lived here so I know!) Short 5 minute walk to Safeway/groceries, restaurants Would definitely stay here again and recommend this home! Review Submitted: Jun 17, 2015 Date of Stay: Apr 2015 Source: HomeAway Barbara N. Attractive, spacious, private paradise 5 of 5 We had an awesome stay in your home earlier this winter! Sitting on the lanai every morning at sunrise drinking tea was a beautiful and serene way to begin each day. The ocean view allowed us to see the Mokes. The property itself was very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The recently re-modeled kitchen was well-stocked with every implement needed to prepare a gourmet meal. We could easily walk to a nearby supermarket so we could prepare our own tasty and delicious meals at home. There were, however, many good restaurants in Kailua and in nearby Kaneohe for anyone who likes to dine out while away from home. This was our fifth visit to Kailua so we have discovered many of these on previous visits. Forget the high-rise hotels and crowded beaches in Waikiki. Kailua, a mere 20 minute ride from the airport in Honolulu, offers gorgeous white sand beaches that stretch for miles, which are relatively uncrowded. We also found great beaches at Lanikai and Waimanalo just minutes away. Because Kailua has been "discovered" with the Obama family vacationing here for the past several years, it's probably best to hit the beaches during the week, rather than weekends. But this discovery has also added many new shops and boutiques to the downtown area, which we also enjoyed. Though we loved our time on the beach, we also loved a pool workout in the front yard most days. It was especially nice since we didn't smell like stinky chlorine afterwards. Another way we spent our time was hiking in the nearby rain forests, which Dean and Jaynine will gladly tell you all about. A visit to Oahu would not be meaningful without visiting the Pearl Harbor Memorial. It was an easy drive from Kailua to this national memorial and I guarantee you will be moved. We also loved the Bishop Museum in Honolulu for providing an insight into Hawaiian culture and history. This home has a distinct "island" feel and will make you feel like you have truly had a vacation in paradise! I definitely plan to return to this property and highly recommend it. Relax surrounded by the spirit of Aloha! 5 of 5 From the moment you walk through the beautifuly hand carved wooden gate you sense you are entering a magical place. The spirit of aloha is reflected in every detail. From the tropical Birds of Paradise that surround the salt water, heated, lap pool, to the custom cabinet work in the newly renovated kitchen, you feel immersed in the island life style. The neighborhood is perfectly quiet, other than the song birds cooing, and you are surrounded by nature at every turn. Breath taking views of the ocean off the back lanai never let you forget that you are lucky enough to be on a Hawaiian Island, even if it is just for a little while. Every detail has been though through with care, allowing you to just kick back, relax and enjoy all the area has to offer. A six minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. A five minute walk to shops and is all right there, waiting to be enjoyed. I felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel and spa all wrapped up in one package and I didn't have to share with any other guests! I loved the pool and the hot tub. Looking up at the stars at night and forgetting everything else, just for a while. This is what a vacation should be! Thanks so much Jaynine and Dean for sharing your lovely home and your spirit of aloha with our family! We will be back!!!! Review Submitted: Mar 16, 2015 Date of Stay: Jul 2014 Source: HomeAway Did you find this review helpful? 1 Yes 0 No Chris S. An oasis in Paradise! 5 of 5 The surroundings were just plain magical. Secluded, yet convenient to everything. High on a hill, last house on the street, totally private with a backdrop of lush tropical mountains and an overview of the ocean and the twin islands called the "Mokes" which are seabird sanctuaries. We found not only the setting to be tranquil, but the home and property lent itself as an adult "playground". Perfect for outdoor activities, chillin' and dining. After taking a swim in the luxurious pool surrounded by carefully tended tropical flora and fauna, we'd relax in the hot tub taking in all the marvelous scents of nature. The home itself is comfortable and equipped with every modern convenience - the kitchen is a gourmand's delight. This oasis is close to shopping, restaurants, hiking, the beach, sightseeing, and more ... We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and left for the mainland very relaxed and renewed.

We had a great relaxing experience at the house perfectly situated at end of a cul de sac, with great views from the deck, mountain behind us offering beauty and tranquility in abundance. The pool was great and with all the comforts of home available, it was a perfect family vacation. Couldn’t ask for more in this stunning part of the World.

Had a lovely time in Kailua. We were a party of 7, three adults and four children and spent 17 nights in the wonderful home. The owner was responsive and easy to work with, and linked us with a property manager who met us at the home and was available as needed. The home sits at the end of a street in a residential area. The house was spacious, had a great pool, hot tub on the deck, with two separate outdoor living areas. There is a large covered patio next to the pool and there is a large wrap around deck on the other side of the home. There are ocean views from the deck. We ate dinner on the deck almost every night. The interior of the home is well appointed, has an open floor plan, a wonderful kitchen, four bedrooms, each with AC, three bathrooms. There is beach access about a mile from the home. We usually drove aprox 3 miles to Kailua beach which has parking, bathrooms, trees for shade along the beach, scenic views. You can snorkel at the end of the beach near the boat ramp. Saw lots of tropical fish, large eel, some game fish all in about three to four feet of water 20 yards off shore. The home is about a 20 to 30 minn drive to Waikiki or Honolulu. Did some surfing in Waikiki, if you need to rent a board don't rent it from a beach vendor. There are several shops a couple blocks from the beach which have better boards and cheaper prices. We did lots of day trips all around the Island. It was easy getting around using the highway system. Some of our party utilized the public bus system which has a stop 2 minn away, to go to Honolulu when others wanted to go elsewhere. We bought 4 day go passes from Costco, for under $200 and did aprox $500 worth of excursions. The pill box hike by Lanikai beach was awesome. About 20 minn South of the home is the Makapuu Point, which has a great easy paved hike to a light house with great views. Costco is 10 minn around the corner. There are several scenic stops by the Point. Near by the home is a botanical garden that has free kid fishing on weekends. There was tons to see and do if you are in to that, if not the beaches by the home were great places to chill.

Relaxing Oasis!
Relaxing Oasis!
My family stayed here for two months while transitioning back to the mainland. The owner was extremely flexible and accommodating and went above and beyond to meet with me personally to see if the house would meet our needs. The house exceeded our expectations. The house is located at the end of a quiet street and conveniently located just minutes from a shopping center and the beach. It's an easy drive to restaurants, shopping, the Marine base and H3. The home itself is the owner's home. It's a great set up and allowed us to comfortably move in for two months with nothing but our suitcases. Everything was provided including pool, lawn and bug treatment services, high speed internet and premium cable! The owner went above and beyond To welcome us by providing special touches including leaving special treats for our 4 year old son. The pool is stunning and is ionized so has absolutely no chemicals. It is surrounded by a gorgeous lawn and a three story adult treehouse (defiantly not recommended for kids). We spent most of our time on the front lanai enjoying the breeze and swimming in the heated pool. It was so warm that the kids could swim for hours. The home was very clean and had all linens and towels provided. They master bedroom had a sleep number bed and cold A/C. The gourmet kitchen was designed for entertaining. It was well stocked with every appliance and amenity. There was also a grill on the second lanai which was used frequently. The views from the lanai are stunning as you can see both of the the Mokes at Lanakai. It was incredibly quiet there despite having other renters onsite in separate apartments. This place is perfect for large families or military transitioning on or off the island. Every issue that arose was promptly handled by the property manager Zak. He was available 24/7 and very personable. We would definitely stay here again! It is a home away from home.

This house has it all - it's close to town, but is like its own private compound, with beautiful landscaping and views. We enjoyed starting each day with coffee on the sunrise side of the house, then ending with a dip in the pool or hot tub, followed by dinner on the patio. The kitchen is gorgeous, and the decor throughout is uplifted but relaxed. We hope to come back again!

This house was perfect for my family of 4. The location was private, the pool beautiful and the views spectacular. We were high on a hill, so the breezes were cool, so air condg wasn't even needed. The newly remodeled kitchen left little to be desired and had gorgeous granite counters... I would highly recommend this property.
