Nestled in Raystown Lake, this lovely cottage for $190 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This is a three bedroom cottage with lots of room for boat parking and lots of room for the kids to play. The cottage features 2 television sets, a blue ray player, and several table games. Three bedrooms with the master bedroom having a queen bed. Second bedroom includes a queen bed. The third bedroom includes one set of bunk beds and one double bed. There is also a queen pullout couch in the living room. The cottage has two bathrooms and sleeping for eight. The dining room table has seating for eight. Outside features a fire pit and a screened gazebo. Three picnic tables are covered by a large canopy. Two outside games complete the outside amenities. The short walk to the water is on a level road with easy access at the end Henderson Overlook road. The cove is perfect for kayaking, swimming, or fishing. We are within three miles to both the Ridenour Lookout and Hawn's Overlook. There is plenty of wildlife to observe on this quiet road near the water.

This cottage was great for my large family (4 adults & 6 children). We loved that it was so close to a cove. If we were not down at the water we were out on the covered deck playing games or relaxing outside. This place is wonderful!! We will definitely be returning!

Plenty of space inside and out along with ample kitchenware.
My family just loves it and are always homesick for days after we return home.

Pretty area
The area is nice. Great sunrises at the park just up the road a drive. Great sunsets there as well as at the end of the walking path up the hill.
The walk to put kayaks in the lake is a bit rough and when you get there it’s not easily accessible due to metal railings.
They provided plenty of dry wood for camp fires. The lot is beautiful and very spacious. Grassy but well maintained. A little creek runs right along the property.
However, one thing we all need in the mountains to make our phones work… at all …..is good internet, and the internet at this house was sketchy at best. Also, my brothers car almost couldn’t make it out of the driveway as it is very steep. So better to have a vehicle that can take a fairly steep grade like a four wheel drive.
All in all I would probably return, except for the poor internet.

Our family stayed for our yearly week vacation and had an amazing time. The house and property were just as described. We sat by the fire and enjoyed the quiet and nature. The walk to the cove is not to far. It is a great spot to fish and just enjoy nature. If you are up for it, there is a great trail that takes you out to a bigger open area that is an amazing swim spot. We found lots to do out in town, just a short drive down the mountain. Very pleasant cottage getaway!
We had an amazing time at the cottage. The location to the lake was perfect. We took our 2 year old twin grandsons and our 5 year old granddaughter and they loved walking to the cove to swim while we would go to the boat launch and then we would pick them up at the cove. The house was very clean and you had all of the comforts of home plus more. We will definitely stay here again. Also, we saw so many deer on this property and surrounding properties--- it was incredible! Andrus Cottage is a very wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend it!

Peaceful and quiet
We were well pleased with the cottage and the outdoor living area, we were expecting to be a little closer to the cove. It was more than a short walk. We drove to the Raystown beach area one day which took about 3o minutes.

Even better than expected!
Such a nice location, close to cove with nice yard and large covered porch. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and actually saw 2 deer come into the yard at dark our first night there. Inside very neat and clean, comfortable beds. Everyone had a great time and we have already talked about booking again next summer. Thank you!

quiet gem
The home was clean, spacious with basic modern amenities. It was high in the mountains, plenty of open space. Best feature was the property "dead ended" into a back cove of Raystown Lake. A a short walk from the house for fishing and swimming. Just bring your raft, paddle board or kayak for hours of fun. Would definitely rent this property for future getaways, including the Fall. The scenery is awesome: trees, mountains, deer etc.

Great location if you like seclusion. Nice big yard for the kids to play. Short walk to lake where we spent most of our time swimming, fishing and kayaking. The only downfall was no cell service and the WiFi connection was bad, but to some that’s a bonus.

Overall great experience. Nice yard with fire pit that we utilized both nights of our stay. Location was perfect for kids to fish and swim at the lake within walking distance. Plenty of space for our group of 8. Towels and bed linens provided, which was a major plus.

Lake Raystown getaway
Our family had a great time at Andrus Cottage! Lisa was very quick in answering all of our questions. The cottage is very close to the lake. We rented a pontoon boat and were able to pull up to the shore and load everyone on board. The house was well stocked with dinnerware and pots and pans. There is a gas grill and a fire pit. We brought our own firewood but there is some firewood in the shed that you can use. The cottage is about 15 minutes from Huntingdon which has several grocery stores and restaurants. Seven Points Marina was about 30 minutes down the road. The cottage was very clean and our party of 8 had plenty of room. We are looking forward to booking a stay here next summer!

A group of 9 of us just spent 3 days at the cottage and had such a good time . The cottage was spacious and clean. It easily accommodated our large group
Everything was as promised. The lake was just a short walk away and the cove was perfect for fishing and swimming. There were plenty of stores within a 15 minute drive. Lisa was great she answered any questions I had promptly.
We will definitely stay at this cottage again !!!
