About this house rental
Located in Lake Cushman, this attractive house for $145 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Our family lake place of 50 years is the perfect home base for your next vacation to the Olympic National Forest. Spend your days kayaking Lake Cushman or hiking the many nearby trails, then return home to a dog-friendly living space, a wood-burning fireplace, and a selection of board games, books and movies for your entertainment. Outside, there's a large deck for socializing and dining. Off-street parking is available for 4-6 vehicles, perfect for getting together with friends. A private community park and boat launch are just a few blocks walking distance and a parking pass is included. Boat launch requires an additional fee per day of use however not required for kayaks that can be carried to the beach. The cabin was built in 1970 and still retains many of the charming decorative details of that time period. We love having a lived-in space to relax with our family and friends and we hope you do as well. Accessibility: This is a 2-story home with the main sleeping areas and full bathroom located on the upper level. Stairs must be used to enter the home from either the front or back door. The community park is located down a short hill from the home, but you can use the provided parking pass to drive down if you would prefer not to walk. We have an additional single room apartment with full bath and kitchen attached to a large gazebo next door as expansion option. Ask about the Gazebo apartment. and it is only rented with the house as an upgrade. Advertised rates are for the main house only, please inquire for extra bed option. Wireless Internet access and online TV included. Pets are allowed with some restrictions so that you don't have to leave Fido at home. Why the Owner Chose Lake Cushman: My family built this cabin to be the summer and winter get away for hiking trips and lake activities. Lake Cushman is a favorite vacation destination for many people as well as a full time home for others because of its unmatched beauty nestled in the Olympic mountains.

Loved the property and neighborhood. Tons of character in the cabin and lots of room. We went to do some hiking at ONP and the proximity was great. It’s a gorgeous area and in January very quiet and peaceful. The house has a cozy room with a fireplace for family games and a big room upstairs for movies and games. We loved the retro vibe! We’d love to come back with other family members for a group stay!

This was such a wonderful place to stay! We had a hard time finding a place that would accept 3 dogs but this place was so accommodating! This house literally had everything you could possibly need! Usually we always bring extra kitchen items with us because most places say they have things but they don’t. Not this house! Bring your clothes, some food, and your friends and family and that’s all you need!! I 10/10 recommend and we will return!! The host answers immediately if you need anything.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house and adjoining areas were perfect! House had all the amenities needed, everything in working order. Sewerage areas in house for kids to play and watch movies or play games. Quiet neighborhood, private beach access which had kids play areas and roped off swimming area. Saw deer during early morning walks. Definitely want to return next summer with a boat!! (Access to boat launch is available as well)

What a cute and fun family lake house! We loved staying here, just a short walk from our family property and the park. Amazing views, peaceful vibe, nostalgic VHS and DVD movies, you can feel the family energy in this house and how many families have enjoyed it. Overall an absolutely perfect house for a family camping trip. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Lake Cushman!

This place was so great! We traveled with a 2, 3, and 5 year old and the space was so great! There were tons of windows for lots of light and all the amenities we could have asked for!
A walk to the private, uncrowded park was only 5 min.
The host was so easy to communicate with and helped us with a change of plans at the last minute. Will likely return. Thank you!

This was my first vacation I’ve ever planned and paid for myself. Not only was it easy to book the hosts detailed email made it easy to understand how to get in the home and how to get to the lake. The property was beautiful and so was the surrounding area. Being able to look at the mountains and the lake every morning was magnificent. It was honestly hard to leave on that last day because we all (adults and kids) enjoyed every moment of it. Definitely a core memory for all of us!

I was on a mission to wrangle all of my siblings across the country to finally get together under one roof---the Lake Cushman cabin was perfect in every way. Gorgeous views, friendly neighbors, & all of the thoughtful essentials you could think of. We rented the gazebo as an addition, which comfortably accommodated the 8 of us. Plenty of games, movies, and activities on site. Not to mention the ease of water access and how close to gorgeous hikes you are here. Couldn't recommend this family rental more!

This house was in a very nice location with access to a lake. The views at the lake were beautiful. Two in our party swam in the lake even though it was ice cold. The house was comfortable with occasional visits from a mule deer! Close to many hiking trails too.

This was a great place, especially having little kids along. We appreciated the kid books, color books, etc. and the lovely park and beach a couple blocks away. The layout of the house was great for us, our kids and grandkids. It is a cozy, comfortable place in a beautiful setting. We had a nice swim in the lake and it was handy to be so close to the Staircase Rapids trailhead.

The property and host were great. Beautiful views with the lower deck and gazebo area. The community park was also very nice with access to Lake Cushman. We didn't have the opportunity to go into the water this time. Accommodations were suitable and we had everything we needed. Host was easy to communicate with and provided all the information we needed.

We have been returning to this cabin for several years and always enjoy. We love coffee I. The morning overlooking the lake and family game time at night at the large table. Communication is always timely and friendly. We will continue our summer stays here.

Great location for boat and park.
Our family really enjoyed this house. Relaxing and close to lake. Lots of chairs inside and out to relax in. Loved the outdoor decks. We hope to return to this house. Next time we will rent the gazebo house too. More famiky can come!!

Loved the Lake House
The Family Lake House at Lake Cushman was perfect for our family getaway, and the Charnells were the perfect hosts! The house is supplied with everything we needed, nicely laid out and very clean. The Weber grill is amazing! Our favorite features are what we named the “Lake Lookout” deck and the proximity to the beautiful lakeside park. We took several area hikes and enjoyed Nina’s, Hama Hama Oyster Saloon and El Puerto de Angeles on the Hood. Our thanks to the Charnells, we’ll be back next summer!

One problem: on Day 1, thought there was a plumbing leak (turned out there wasn't) but sent text messages to both the hosts phone numbers; however, neither one was transmitted (cell phones don't work well there), so I tried to call host using the house phone. On. Both host numbers, got a recorded message saying we needed "an access code" from the phone company to make the calls. So the upshot was that we had no usable phone service for the week. Hope the owner can do something about that. Interestingly, the internet service was just fine.

Cabin is well furnished to keep everyone busy with books, games, Wii etc. Private park provides a lot of outdoor activities including access to water and many hiking trails nearby. Great set up for large families. Can't wait to do it again!
