The location was great! Up in the San Juan mountains of Colorado just as the Aspens were starting to turn. It was beautiful and the September weather cooperated. The old mining town mixed wonderfully with the ski-town atmosphere.

The esthetic was old western. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They have a hot tub and sauna available. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Excellent location.
The bed was a little saggy.

I liked that host was friendly & helpful telling me where guests could use frig/micro since not in rooms & a small kitchen. My bed was very comfortable but room was crowded (rm#6) & sink n bedroom & toilet in what appeared to have been a clothes closet at one time (very tiny & claustrophobic). It was a convenient location. Reminded me of a B&B w/o breakfast included. The stairs were very step (20 steps) & narrow. Seven rooms total. I liked they had two jacuzzi’s to use, but the covers were very dusty/dirty like & hadn’t been cleaned in awhile, but inside hot tub seemed hygienic.
They ought to advertise all rooms up steep stairs ( if one has knee problems, it would B major consideration (or even for those over 70yo). I wouldn’t have chose them for myself or my service dog who accompanies me everywhere (she just turned 11yo). We r both oldies but goodies), lol. The rm was crowed, no window (just a skylight), tiny, tiny bathroom (sink n bedroom), jacuzzi covers dirty/dusty.

Great location.Silverton is a fantastic , scenic town and this place is right in the middle.
The hot tubs and sauna were a nice touch.
Room 6 had no window, just a sky tube.
Room was very small and very dark.
Sink was wobbling off the wall.
Overall the whole place felt a little neglected, the trash bucket in the shared kitchen was overflowing.
Walls were paper thin.
The money I paid to stay here does not represent good value , it is purely playing on its "historical " past and location
$$$$
