Would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it

Location, check in staff was friendly, blankets and heater was provided, good wifi in my room, okay size for me (one person). Bed was firm as were the pillows, for me it was okay but others might find it uncomfortable. Soap, towels provided. When I called the staff to check in and check out he always answered promptly. Has a tv although I did not use it. In the common area there are tables and a fridge which I didnt use but available for storing food and eating comfortably. The property has a gate and then a door leading to the rooms so security was good. Area seemed safe.

I never write reviews unless the place is amazing or really bad. First of all, they charged me a 15% fee for using my card to pay for the room. I had been charged fees for other things in Argentina, but I stayed in total in 5 places in Salta and none of them charged me a fee for using my card even though the places were cheaper than this one! Aside from that, he charged me like a 10% fee which he alleged was the current conversion rate of $18usd to ars. When I inquired about this he said the rate changes and I replied that I literally had booked it less than 24hrs ago. Even though it changes, it does not change that much. I suspect thats the fee Booking charged them for using the app and he passed the cost to me. In total I ended up paying 25% more than what was stated in Booking.com. In literally all the places I stayed at in Argentina, they would charge me exactly what Booking.com had quoted. If I knew of all these surprise fees, I wouldve chosen a better place for the same price. Second of all, within the first hour of me staying there, I saw three cockroaches: two inside the room and another when I opened the door which I promptly killed. The bathroom was OK for me because im a very short, thin woman. Anyone that is bigger will be uncomfortable as its very small and when you open the shower, the water goes outside it almost flooding the bathroom. If you’re alone this is fine, but if you’re sharing a room it can get annoying. Everything in the bathroom was clean except the shower that had some mold. Lastly, he told me check out was at 10:30am when the app said 11:00am, so I left at 10:50am and thankfully I had no issues with that, he didn’t rush me or anything, but I found it wrong to say a different time just because he wanted to leave earlier. The majority of places will let you store luggage after checkout at least for an hour or two, but he didn’t allow it because he wouldn’t return until 5pm and I needed to pick it up by 1pm.
