About this house rental
Nestled in Norris Lake, this charming house for $323 per night is a great option for your next trip. Listing Description: Beautiful home located in a quiet country setting on pristine Norris Lake in the Dodson Creek Cove! This property has a great floor plan, outdoor living and the perfect location on Norris Lake. Conveniently located 10 minutes to Maynardville, TN and only 30 minutes to downtown Knoxville. We are neighbors with Beach Island Marina & Bubba Brews! The home comes with a private dock & a jetski port for all your boating needs. There is a gradual grade to get down to the water with a complete concrete walkway. No more than 3 cars allowed due to limited parking. The Space: -We have several pontoon rentals available upon request. You must have a valid boaters license or be born before 1989 to operate.We deliver them to the house as well! Rates are as follows: 90 HP - $275 per day plus taxes & $50 insurance 115 HP - $300 per day plus taxes & $50 insurance 115 HP - 16 passenger pontoon - $325 per day plus taxes & $50 insurance -There are also kayaks included with the rental close to the dock. Please note that we do not provide life jackets. Please be sure to return to the kayak rack at the property once finished! -The home is located at the end of Dodson Creek Cove right past Bubba Brews & Beach Island Marina on Jesse Rd! -The home is equipped with a kitchen equipped with a standard coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave & kitchen table! The home also includes a hot tub, weber gas grill with propane on site that we provide, Fiber WIFI, & TV’s throughout the entire house w/ Cable as well as a double deck with their own patio area! -There is a private dock with a swim ladder & jetski port! Please note our pontoon rental stays on the outside of the dock. -It is not allowed to leave your trailer at the property & is highly recommended to launch prior to going to the property. The road is short but is a single lane and is tight & peaks & valleys in spots which would make turning around with a trailer difficult. We however do provide several options. There’s an additional property we own 2 minutes away that the trailer can be dropped in the field beside the house or we have a gated warehouse less than 10 minutes away that it can be left at for the duration of your stay. Just please be sure to let us know which option you prefer as it gets closer. You can put in at Beach Island Marina (5 mins away)! -Please note, this part of the lake has year round water. Just please be advised that lake levels are lowered by the TVA in the Fall and raised again in the Spring & can fluctuate in off season months. Guest Access: The entire house is available & no more than 3 cars allowed at the property & 1 boat per house. Other Things to Note: -Check in is at 5 & Check out is at 10 & you must be 25 to rent -House includes All Linens, bath towels, pots, pans, utensils, baking sheets, etc. -A STARTER supply of dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, a roll of toilet paper per bathroom, & trash bags (indoor & outdoor) -Recommended items to bring: Extra trash bags, paper products, soaps, detergents, toilet paper, beach towels for hot tubs or lake, & all personal soaps, shampoo, & conditioners. -3 Car MAX limit as this property shares a steep driveway with our other property there. -No smoking or parties allowed anywhere on the property. -We provide all firewood & propane tanks. -There are outdoor security cameras for protection since this is a year round rental. -Check in and out times are firm unless approved in advance. -Nearest grocery store is Food City which is 10 minutes away. -No pets are allowed at our properties -WIFI is KUB Fiber -Please note that there is one slip available for guest use. We keep our pontoon rental in the other slip as stated above. -There is another property beside this one if you need larger groups. The other House sleeps 12. -Please note that our pontoon rental may be on the outside of the dock.

First let me say other than a few minor broken items, the home is very nice. The home is located on a one lane road on the side of a mountain. The driveway is unbelievably steep and the walk down to the dock even steeper. By afternoon no one wanted to go down to the dock because of the walk back up or walk up that driveway to get in a car. You share the driveway with home next door and it can be a little crowded. Nice home, just too steep for us.

We love this house. It is very clean and the beds are SO comfy. This is also our favorite neighborhood to stay in on the lake. We definitely will be booking this home again and I’ve already shared the listing with other friends who would like to book this house as well. Communication 100% thank you so much for making our yearly trip so cozy!

The property is even better than listed. Extremely clean - both inside and out! The location is perfect with a nice walk down to the water. Although it is steep, it is fairly easy for most properties in the area. Owners and managers were responsive and helpful. One of the best I ever rented!

Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of sheets & towels. The walk to the dock was a breeze due to a full sidewalk & short distance. Instructions for who to contact IF we needed anything were crystal clear as were the instructions for how to leave the house upon dismissal. Our cove was lovely & the kids played in the water everyday & fed fish every morning. Highly recommend!

Great place and location
We brought our own boat last week in June. The cul de sac cove is quiet and great to swim in. Take the boat for 5 min and you’re out in the main channel. This side of the lake is not busy but still close to Bubba Brews. We had smooth water all week.
House is well appointed for 9 people with included bedding. 2 bathrooms is enough. Kitchen was great. Hot tub works. Enjoyed the fireplace. Dock was great. Driveway is steep but didn’t bother us. Walk from house to dock has a newly paved concrete sidewalk. It wouldn’t be easy for elderly or those with bad knees. Our group was aged 13-45 and didn’t stop us from having fun for a week.

First, the location, super easy to find by boat because it’s the first cove past Bubba Brews. Also, the cove was great because it’s in a no wake zone so you can paddleboard and kayak as well as swim off the dock without worrying about big wakes. The kids would swim off the dock in the evening, no worries because there are lights.
We rented a pontoon from the owner, it was at the dock and in great shape, just as they stated and it was super convenient.
Fire pit area is well stocked with wood (thank you!)
House was great and I was pleasantly surprised at all of the kitchen items available, crock pot, blender and plenty of plates, glasses, flatware.
The one word of caution because we looked at the exterior pictures and didn’t heed the warning. The walk from the house to the dock is extremely steep and dangerous, especially if it’s raining or in the morning and late evening when iits damp out. My father came ans he is over 70, I was very concerned about a fall. It was difficult to get heavy or awkward items to and from the dock due to the severe incline.
Other than the incline, everything was fantastic!!!

We've stayed in quite a variety of home rentals and this was THE best stocked kitchen!! Super easy to prepare & eat our meals, and about 10min from grocery stores.
Close to multiple state parks for hiking during the day, followed by relaxing in the wonderful hot tub to ease sore muscles, and wrapping up each evening at the covered firepit.
Word of caution about the property slope of this whole area: very steep, like nothing we've experienced before.
Property manager was SUPER responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Perfect family getaway
Just left this beautiful lakehouse and we are so sad. We had the best week with our family of 11. So many great memories on Norris Lake. The owner was so quick to respond each time I messaged him. Very helpful. So nice and easy to have the pier and easy access to the lake right out the back door. Perfect getaway on the lake, we did not have to leave the property for anything except boating. Amazing week and already planning for next year!

House was nice, very clean, perfect location. The house does have a strange layout, the driveway is very steep but not uncommon for Norris. Slightly steep walk down to dock but not horrible, steps or a walkway would be nice. Very close to Beach Island Marina or Cedar Grove Marina. Definitely would go back!

Labor Day weekend
We all (2 couples) had a great time. Made great use of the covered dock as well as the jet ski port. The fire pit was nice for the evenings. Firewood was provided as well as all kitchen utensils we needed. The walk down to the dock was pretty steep, but we knew that from the pictures and didn't mind the exercise but if you have elderly people in your group you should take that into consideration. The manager was awesome to work and communicate with, quickly handling anything needed. He even shipped a few items of clothing we left behind and refused to let us reimburse him for the shipping costs! There is only one negative to report, and this is something we were already aware of when we booked our stay, which is check in and check out times. 5:00 check in seems a little late for check in but if you're bringing a boat or other watercraft you can arrive to the area a little sooner and use that time to put in and travel to the dock. But 10;00 A.M. is just ridiculous for a checkout time , especially when you have the hills to and from the dock to house and the steep driveway. But like I said, we knew that when we booked our stay. All that being said, we had an awesome time and would definitely recommend this property!

This was by far the best VRBO we have stayed in thus far!
We loved the location in the quiet cove and the awesome boat dock with deck. It was close to enough to things but far away from it all too. The house was very well equipped and the owner was super easy to contact. He was great and responded to my email quickly with a call when I thought I locked myself out. We will certainly be back. The only drawback as with any property on this lake is the steep grade to and from the lake. There needs to be steps all the way down and a railing. My adult children all three fell down the hill. Luckily them and not me! This won't stop us from coming again just would be nice.

Inaccurate pictures/description, but OVERALL a nice place for a small group
My spouse and I rent houses on Norris every year with a group of friends, so my review is coming from a place of experience. My #1 complaint is the HILL TO THE DOCK. The pictures are very deciving. They are actually taken of it in a completely different spot (that is the neighbors paved walkway and stairs). The slope down is tretchurous. Some stairs, pavers, gravel, or a paved walkway of ANY kind would be better than the steep rocky grass incline. Multiple people actually fell down it. After making it safely to the dock we were a little upset considering a large covered dock is a major deciding factor in our booking process. We have a smaller wakeboarding boat and it was a very tight squeeze into the covered part of the dock, and then we found there are NO CLEATS on the dock floor to tie to. There are cleats up on the very front and very back poles which was not practical at all.
Pros: Once we had the neighbors move their cars, there were plenty of very nicely marked parking spots up the hill! There was living space on both floors of the house for us to spread out. Nice location super close to beach island marina (bubba brews) which has an okayish drop in and trailer parking, but the proximity was nice!
Cons: The driveway hill is also very steep though so plan for that hike when loading/unloading. The trash can in the kitchen and the outside cans are way too small for a house that “sleeps 11” and the kitchen prep area is quite small when you are feeding 11 (I was misled by the pictures). 9 people partially children would be much more comfortable. If you plan to cook you might as well bring your own knives because they are so extremely dull! The living room is pretty tight to advertise using the pullout sofa (that you have to BLOW UP- instructions would have been nice, we just thought it was awfully flat the first few nights). There is no WiFi.
House was overall very clean and updated. Close to the main lake but there are also nice calm and clean coves to park in close by. I would still book it again, but for a weekend trip with less people.

Absolutely a beautiful home, we fell in love with it and can’t wait till we can go back again! Our boat broke down, so we just stayed at the house and played on the dock, we enjoyed the fire pit also.

Absolutely a beautiful home, we fell in love with it and can’t wait till we can go back again! Our boat broke down, so we just stayed at the house and played on the dock, we enjoyed the fire pit also.

The home is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. We loved the location and being able to rent a boat and have it right there at the home dock. The only negative is the lack of steps down to the dock. The walk can be very slippery when it rains!
