First of all, the location of the hostel is absolutely amazing, walking distance to the city center and all the places you want to visit or main transportation hubs (Sannomiya Station).
The hostel is very clean, shared toilet and bathroom are regularly cleaned, the bed and bedroom are both very clean and tidy. You might need to follow some rules in order to keep the hostel clean, some might find it slightly inconvenient but I'm fine with it.
The ambiance of the hostel is very safe, have a "home-coming" feeling. YO (the host) is quiet but a true adventure backpack traveller. Although we didn't spend much time exchanging, but you can tell he's someone with a lot of stories to share from all the note, painting, maps, books in the entrance space.
Not a downside but something to note: It's not allowed to leave anything including our luggage or bags next to the bed (there's a dedicated area for them), so you need to have a way to arrange your frequently used stuff within the bed area (or in the small locker). It's actually the reason why the dorm room can stay tidy, as people generally follow the rules.
I stayed for 2 nights, and I have short legs, so no problem for me to have all my frequently used belongings and clothes arranged at the end of my bed.

Cleanest facilities I have ever seen. Cleaner than my own house.

Nice breakfast in the morning.
That I only stayed 1 night! I definitely will book again in the future and stay for longer to explore Kobe/ Kansai more.

The location, my room had a large, private balcony.
Overall didn’t feel taken well care of. Not enough bathrooms.
