Bathroom overflowed and had a blocked drain from first shower. Water seeped up and flooded the floor causing a health hazard. Friend slipped and injured herself. If the shower or sink had been tested it would have been obvious there was a blockage. Terrible smell. The apartment is extremely dated and many of the electrical points are a danger.

With regard to the property description on the Booking.com website - 1) There are factual inaccuracies a) There is no river view (the photos showing such a view must have been taken from a much higher point). b) There is no dishwasher. c) There is no electric kettle. d) There is no bidet. e) There is no sea view (see comment regarding photos above). f) There are no “Reception services” – all communications are by email, text and phone. 2) There are misleading statements a) The balcony (with closable windows) is the dining area. b) There is not a separate “outdoor dining area”, only the one shown in the main photo. 3) There are misleading photos a) See comments above regarding views. b) Photos of the tall pleasant looking white building might suggest that the apartment is in this building, it is not, this is a hotel on the other side of the street. c) All the views of the city have been taken from a much higher level than the apartment. The deposit was taken off credit card before arrival. Refund was delayed and exchange rates meant an additional cost of £6.91. Not the cash transaction as indicated. Other issues (these have been commented on by several other earlier reviewers but obviously not resolved). 1) The boiler was not switched on and required the pilot light to be lit and controls to be fiddled with. There were no instructions on what to do. Though we managed to get the pilot light lit using the matches provided we could not get the boiler to properly fire up and it was midday on the second day before it was resolved after email and phone contact. 2) The wifi connects to the router but gave us no internet at any time during our 3 night stay. 3) The window in the middle bedroom falls off if opened. It should be noted that having booked through Booking.com in the usual way a number of emails come from “Smart Rent” requiring a form to be completed, passport details and photo to be provided and a short term rental agreement signed.

The middle bedroom got very warm and the fan on the ceiling was very noisy.
