The ambiance was unexpectedly nice. We were on a month long Route 66 trip from So. Calif. that extended to the east coast. We stayed at a hotel or motel every night except 4 nights in a condo in Canada. This was one of the most pleasurable stays on our trip. The facilities seemed in good repair, except for a roof leak in the lobby area. I enjoyed the retro feel of the room. I would definitely stay again when in Gallup.
Exterior room access. I prefer interior access, but it all worked out fine.

We liked the art/statues in the lobby…enjoyed the retro look of the rooms decor.
Our toilet was slow to flush.

Breakfast was good. Lots of railroad train noise all night long. Otherwise facility was great.
Train traffic all night long.
