About this condo rental
Situated in Sugar Mountain, this charming condo for $101 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This top floor condo has breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain. It has a great open space living/dining area with a flat screen TV, an electric fireplace featuring a wonderful wooden mantel. The unit is 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom and will accommodate 4 people. The master has a King bed and an en suite bath. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and adjoining bath. The balcony is equipped with quality outdoor furniture. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer in unit. You will have full access to the indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and weight room located in the lobby. Sugar Top has a shuttle system. Please be advised that the parking shuttle is run by Sugar Top. Resort Real Estate and Rentals has no control over the shuttle system. Our Sugar Top Condos are Non-smoking. Absolutely NO PETS. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign rental agreement upon booking.

We enjoyed our stay! The property was as described and the views were AMAZING... our favorite was the sunrise when the clouds literally whip around right in front of you. We also loved the pool, hot tub, sauna and workout rooms. We would love to visit again!

Very clean apto very well equipped, everything in the kitchen if you like to cook. Beautiful view, sunrise to die for....the only thing I did not like was the bed, I like hard, firm, stone mattress but the master bed is very soft...but that is just my preference...other thing was the parking, it was mostly half empty and we still had to park down and take the shuttle...we walked down most of the time. Great place, I recommend will comeback in the summer. Thank you.

The condo had plenty of room for a family of 4 and had all the needed amenities in the kitchen. The only thing that was a little annoying was the parking and shuttle service. The staff were all very nice and when returning late a couple of evenings we were allowed to drive up to the building and use the registration parking spots to take sleeping kids up to the condo then only one person had to go park the car and ride the shuttle. The shuttle was typically very prompt. The issue is the shuttle is not 24/7, not sure what time it stops at night, but it doesn’t start until 7AM. We needed to leave around 5AM for our drive home so I had to walk down the road to the parking lot to get the car.

The condo was clean, comfortable and in very good condition. The beds were very comfortable and we woke up to a beautiful sunrise over Grandfather Mountain. We would rent it again.

The view was fabulous but the check in and shuttle service was a little bit of a hassle. Also, the hot water heater was bothersome. The building needs painting and units need updating. Otherwise, had a great experience.

The sheets in the king-size bed were wrinkle like it had been slept in or hadn’t been changed prior to us arriving.Therefore, overall, the pictures on the website is what you will actually see therefore I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars HOWEVER the cleanliness I would definitely give a 1 out 5 stars.

Great stay on top of the world!
Our stay was great. Everything was as described.
The shuttle service seemed a little cumbersome at first but they do such a great job at it that it wasn't a hassle at all.
The hot tub and pool really made the stay so much better.

We showed up to the condo with the greatest expectations in mind. We took our stuff to the condo and it was immaculate. Clean, airy, and it looked like the we left it last year. We are repeat customers and will continue to be for years to come. Everybody was warm and welcoming from the ladies at the rental desk to the staff at the condominiums. While attending the GMHG, I actually sold off (for rentals) 3 or 4 more future customers to the Sugar Mountain.

Place was great but they will hold your security deposit for up to 30 days per there email they sent me when I asked about when it would be refunded.
I am going on 21 days with no REFUND even after they told me 5 to 7 days. This almost feels a little SCAMMY to me. I can understand the security deposit and I would charge one myself but to hold money up to 30 days after you left "And yes I have a VIDEO showing all was good on my way out the door" is just makes me feel they are hoping people will forget about it. If I don't have my money soon I will be opening a claim on my card.
("Once everything checks out our inspector sends it through to accounting. Accounting has up to 30 days to refund the deposit, however, with this being our slow season it should only take 5 to 7 business days for it to appear back onto your account. ")

Great condo but parking is a pain
We enjoyed the condo itself (very clean & nice) but the overall building was inconvenient with little kids having to wait for shuttle to go to our car.

Sugar top
Mantle at a severe angle, probably will fall off soon and they will try to blame a renter. Is there any insulation? The floors and walls, window sills are very cold. Tub faucet about to fall off, bathroom popcorn ceiling cracking and pealing. Built in the 80s and looks it. You have to unload and then park down the hill and get a shuttle back up. It was clean, but we wouldn’t go go back.

Felt like home!
Perfect space for a family getaway. Comfortable condo with amazing views. Great family ambiance. Felt like I was at my mom’s house. The beds were comfortable (king was better than I expected based on other reviews). They were super busy and it had just snowed- so check in was a bit delayed; but homeowner had no control over that. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Condo, Amazing Views
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The views were incredible, even better than they appear in the photos. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. Communication with the property manager was excellent.
The only downside was with check-in and logistics. We had to go to an offsite location to get our keys, then check in with security at the property entrance, and then check in again at the front desk in the lobby. After that, we had to unload the car, drive to a remote parking lot, and wait for a shuttle back up to the condo building. It was a pretty extensive process and a lot of human interaction, which was not ideal amid COVID concerns. We had to wait on the shuttle every time we wanted to go somewhere. We never had to wait more than a few minutes, but I feel like we spent more time than necessary on logistics.

Great place to stay with family and friends.
This condo features everything you need for a relaxing stay in the mountains. We enjoyed ourselves the whole time we was except for the the parking issues we had. After being told we could park up in the top parking level due to us having handicapped parking, for two nights we got parking warnings, one for not parking in a handicapped parking spot while having a visible handicapped sign and the second for parking out of spot for HOA rules. The whole time we had a red parking sticker to park in top parking lot. Other than the parking issues, we had a pretty good time with amazing views, great swimming, relaxing, and enjoyment with the familly.
