Gunpoint Lodge is in a wonderful location in West Cork, ideal for touring the area. It has beautiful views, overlooking the water. The house itself is spacious, clean and well equipped.
There is absolutely nothing we didn’t like about the house.

Nice view, comfortable bedrooms, spacious kitchen
Wifi and television are on the same circuit which very frequently tripped. We didn't use the TV but the wifi was repeatedly down. The circuit board is behind a locked door, on it's first tripping it involved a 2 hour wait while the representative located the key. The front doors opening on to the lake view can't be opened as the lock needs to be fixed. Two of the four hobs do not work. The owners require you to open and close (quite awkward) gates each time we entered or left, because of cattle (a cattle grid would sort that). The property is described as including a tennis court, the tennis court is in fact 8km away, in Schull. A few other irritations such as no corkscrew all combined to take away from what could be a lovely holiday property.
