The name "Camp Ruffy" was chosen by our children.

Ideal for self catered weekend or midweek family functions, weddings (magic photographic opportunities amongst the boulders in our High Country - need 4wd), corporate team building/planning retreats, church, school and club getaways without the costs involved in commercial venues.

Camp Ruffy is a relaxing hideaway for those who wish to enjoy and explore a peaceful natural place in quite an isolated location to recharge the batteries well away from the mainstream madness. The property generates it's own electricity using both solar and hydro, sources it's own water, grows it's own fruit & vegetables, enjoys it's own fresh eggs and raises pure bred Damara sheep.

This 140 acre property with plenty of wildlife has much untouched mountainous country except for some well defined walking/4wd trails, two spring fed streams, one meandering through a large wetland bog valley with all sorts of ferns and the other with a continuous line of waterfalls cascading down over and about enormous granite boulders.

Satellite TV/Foxtel and Internet plus Telstra mobile phone coverage, so quite civilised

Absolute solitude, no passing traffic, unbelievable night skys and perhaps just one light to be seen after dark.

Camp Ruffy is VERY remote however only 18 k’s from the Hume Freeway and accessible by any vehicle including a coach. 146 k’s / 99 minutes from Melbourne's Western Ring Road / Hume Freeway intersection to Camp Ruffy.
Drive 30 minutes to Euroa and Avenel, 45 minutes to Seymour and 60 mins to Shepparton or Benalla.

Enjoy feeding our Damara sheep & Alpacas plus great bush walking along defined tracks through granite studded hills leading to running streams or just soak up the solitude in this isolated location.

Experience the most magnificent sunrise and sunsets and a sky full of stars all night. Bring your torches for night time wildlife spotting.

Consider a Friday night dinner or Sat/Sun morning breakfast 10 mins away at the widely renowned Ruffy Produce Store as an extra treat or choose excellent venues at Avenel or Euroa .
