Perfect location just in front of Nile, incredible view from the room window and common terrace… it was the best place we stayed during our Egypt tour… thank you Sunny Luxor, we will come back surely…

Sunny is een erg leuke, gezellige host. We hebben elke dag wel even met hem gekletst. Hij kwam ons ophalen vanaf het treinstation en heeft een chauf geregeld om ons ook weer terug te brengen. Ook onze trips naar valley of the kings en valley of the queens waren makkelijk te regelen via Sunny. Het appartement is groot, ruim en schoon én er was een heel fijn dakterras. In de straat van de accommodatie zitten veel plekjes waar je kunt eten (wel veel buiten, dus 's avonds koud in de winter). Als je ontbijt wil vanuit de accommodatie kun je dat aanvragen bij sunny (150 EGP pp geloof ik).
Qua ligging is het jammer dat het nog wel een stukje lopen is naar de veerpont. Het is slechts een kwartier, maar in Egypte kun je in een kwartier wandelen 50 keer aangesproken worden of je iets wil kopen. Dat gaat wel storen.

Soulless empty and depressing property, ground floor, no Nile view, no proper kitchen, as had no cooker whatsoever, no tv, just a small sofa and blank walls, it was as if I booked a prison, but saying that the owner was very agreeable for me to leave and provide a full refund, as I was not happy at all.

Az apartman a Nílus nyugati partján helyezkedik el. A tetőteraszról fantasztikus kilátás nyílik a folyóra és a Luxori Templomra. Az apartmantól nem messze található a kompállomás, ahonnan a keleti partra lehet hajózni. Az utcában több étterem is van. A személyzet kedves, a szemben lévő étteremben jó volt a vacsora.
Az apartmanházban vannak emeleti apartmanok, melyek kilátást biztosítanak a gyönyörű folyóra és a túlpartra. Nos, mi nem ilyet kaptunk, hanem a földszintes egységet, kilátással az oldalsó poros utcára. A nagyobb gond az volt, hogy a hirdetéssel ellentétben az apartmanunk nem két hálószobás volt, hanem egy hálószobával rendelkezett, a további ágyak pedig a konyha-nappaliban voltak elhelyezve. Ez azért gond, mert a hálószobában alvó vendégek a konyha-nappalin át vonulhatnak csak a fürdőszobába, így az ott alvók rendre felébrednek. Még egy hiányosság, hogy a hálószobában lévő franciaágy túl keskeny, így két ember alvásához nagyon kényelmetlen. Ezt a "japán tulajdonos" dolgot nem kellene erőltetni csak azért, hogy megbízhatóbbnak tűnjön a szálláshely, mert senki sem hiszi el és vicces. Különben is, micsoda szamárság, hogy nem arabul és angolul, hanem arabul és japánul lehet kommunikálni? Hátha a japán tulajdonos (aki ugye Egyiptomban üzemeltet egy apartmanházat) nem tud angolul? Szóval, amíg Pillangókisasszonnyal nem lehet szusit csipegetni a tetőn, hagyni kellene ezt a kereskedelmi trükköt. A WIFI volt amikor működött, máskor meg nem.

Everything was great here. I didn't have the breakfast from here as I wasn't there during the breakfast timings. But the stay was just perfect. Hosts were very friendly. especially the owner Sunny, he was there for everything. Even arranging boats from the hotel to the cross the nile. Also he helped me book hot air balloon ride at a good price.
There was nothing to dislike. I liked everything here.

Het beste aan dit hotel is het dakterras met geweldig uitzicht. Goede prijs- kwaliteit verhouding.
Het is heerlijk rustig op de west bank. Er zijn leuke restaurantjes voor de deur.

It is just by the Nile river, the view is really amazing. It’s not far from the public ferry or you could easily get a private boat to go to the east bank. Since it’s on the West Bank, not far from the tomb and temple, and also the hot air balloon. The west side provides alcohol in the restaurant. There are lovely restaurants and store nearby. The owner Atef is making the room very clean and comfortable. Good functioning air conditioning and hot water. You could book your tour at the hotel.

due to the location on the west side, it’s miles away from all the hustle and bustle of the east side, pretty adjacent to the public ferry. Room is decent. You get what you pay for, but the cherry on top is the balcony. You can enjoy the spectacular view of Nile river without going anywhere. Wifi is perfect and Sunny is a good host.

The apartment was clean and had a very nice view of the nile. It tends to get hot but it’s okay because you have got AC. The bed was comfortable and it could sleep two adults and a baby! There is a fridge, stove and a water heater. And there is even a shared washer for your clothes at the ground floor.The place is around 5-10 mins easy walk to the public ferry and there is a supermarket nearby owned by an honest guy.

This hostel is very well located, is spacious and has some cooking facility, and a washing machines , all of which is appreciated.
The biggest problem is the dogs barking at night. The building has little or no sound proof. That is really a problem for tired travellers. In addition, the driver ("Atif") who was supposed to pick us up did not answer our phone calls when we arrive at the airport on the first night. As a result we had to wait a good 40 minutes before he finally showed up.

great location on Nile shore, supermarket close by, very comfortable rooms, loved the beautifull pots in forecourt area, great views from our balcony area, the host of Sunny Luxor is a freindly nice fella with no pressure or hard sell. All in all relaxing place to hang out.

I liked the hosts, views, the cleanliness of the place and the beautiful space. The kitchen. The rooms. Everything was lovely.
The beds could've been fresh more - I felt the bed wasn't clean or changed.
I didn't like the wifi connection. The wifi basically didn't work 90% of the time. I couldn't research anything. I couldn't check in my flight. It was a real inconvenience for me. I didn't have an Egyptian sim card it was very difficult. I advise if you work online, you better have well equipped internet.

Sunny Luxor is a nice and cozy apartment on the west bank of Luxor with Amazing Nile river view. It was wonderful experience to watch sunrise from our apartment balcony every morning and sitting and relaxing with sunshine.
We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay here and Public ferry station is just 5 minutes walk from sunny Luxor to go to east Bank with 5 EGP ticket per person. Few restaurants are also nearby.
Staff Mohammed was very helpful and supportive to our all requests.
We will definitely recommend this apartment for a peaceful stay in luxor to our family and friends.

The location of Sunny Luxor , is in a quite area on the West Bank. Sunny, the owner met me at the property and made sure i was happy with everything before he left. There is allways someone around if you need any help with anything.
The apartment was clean , with fresh bath towels and clean bedding and instant hot water when ever you needed it.
I will most certanly come back here , i've been to Luxor 12 times and this is the best place i have ever stayed at.
I will reccomend this place to anyone.

I Liked everything about my stay . The owner ( Sunny ) went out of his way for me when i couldn't get the internet working on my laptop. Several trips to the Internet shop , three hours checking everything , he stayed with me the whole time untill everything was working and i was happy.

Such a beautiful apartment with an amazing roof terrace and incredible views across the Nile.

The public ferry is a 5 minute walk straight along the Nile bank and costs 5 egp (20p) to cross the Nile. There are shops and eating places - delicious chicken wraps for about a pound, half way up the high street on your right, or pizzas etc

excellent, spacious apartments at a great price The room was fully equipped. It had a kitchen with basics and a fridge. there is almost everything you need. Right on the banks of the Nile, great view of Luxor Temple.

I booked Sunny apartment through Booking for 10 days. It’s perfect location and windows view.
But during winter it’s quite cold and during summer extremely hot, so we never had a breakfast at the balcony. Month of April.
We spent 3 months in Luxor and stayed in different places. So, I can say it’s was the flat that nobody carry about.
No tea cups, no pan, not enough kitchen equipment. It’s was dusty and dirty the night we came and I had to clean by myself next morning.
The huge terrace with beautiful Nile and mountains view has no sun beds. Benches are always dusty.
Something strange is daily cut of water. It’s never happened in other places in Luxor.
At the end. Our room number 5 in third floor has such a poor wifi signal, that only place we could catch it was the entrance door. Wifi is not stable, we suffered a lot. The point is that unlimited cable connection pretty affordable for someone who run the hotel, but it’s 20 dollars for each 40 GB for us as tourists. So, to use your own mobile internet it’s expensive. When I’ve been asking the owner to do something with that he offered me to pay one months ahead and he will bring the router. The same time our neighbors were staying 4 months here and had the same problems paying additional for their own mobile internet.
I just feel that such a nice building with center location deserves better service, carry and soul. When you can improve the things easily, but just don’t want it’s really sad.
Hopefully my review helps Sunny to put some love into the hotel.

Nice and quiet guesthouse close to the ferry. Several restaurants, 5mn away along the riverside, with good local food. We had an apartment with kitchen, sofa lounge, two bedrooms with two bathrooms for ourselves. Splendid view from the bedrooms' balcony. The apartment is very clean. M. Atef who manage the place is a very kind man with a big heart. He will arrange any trips/excursions for you. Excellent quality/price ratio. A great place to stay on the west bank. We recommend it with no hesitation

Other than clean and cozy , the place has amazing views. We enjoyed our morning coffees looking the Nile. It has been by far the best value per price we have had in Egypt so far ( we've stayed in 5 different places in total).
