Within 30min walk of all attractions and not as manic as other areas
The buzzer entry may take a few attempts after 10pm but I got in after 5min and 3 buzz
But people do need the toilet

Professional and helpful staff. Great location right between Dum square and Anne Frank House. The room is small but have all necessary facilities, comfortable bed and the balcony with a nice view overlooking the canal.

I liked that it was five minutes from the Anne Frank Huis and two minutes from Westkerk. I liked how breakfast was included and it was a very good breakfast with fresh coffee. I could hear the church bells while I enjoyed my breakfast. The staff helped me and helped me find where to catch the tram.
I didn’t like the steep staircase and the old carpeting and the tiny room but for a one night stay it was just right. It was quiet even though it was on a corner.

Location, friendly staff, quirky decor, and the world's steepest stairs. More like mountaineering than going up stairs.
