Breakfast was lovely, good variety and plenty of everything. Staff were all charming
1. Hotel is really rundown- our room smelled damp and there was black mould on the walls.
2. Bedding was very old and did not feel clean.
3. Paint peeling and shower door was hanging by 1 corner.
4. We booked this hotel based on it advertising a free shuttle bus to the ski area. We were told, at check in, that the bus was not running and we would need to walk for about 20 minutes to the train station and then get a bus, at our expense (x5 ) to the ski resort. So what we expected to be a free 5 minute journey had become an expensive 1/2 hour one. The other option was a taxi, again at our expense and this was 20Euros each way. This was extremely disappointing as we would not have booked this hotel, so far from the resort, without a bus included.
As it turned out, the manager of the hotel drove us to the resort 4 out of 5 mornings in her car and collected us on 3 of the days. The other journeys were at our expense and arrangement.
It was kind of her to do this but it was not easy. There were 5 of us, 4 of whom are 6 foot plus men so we did not fit comfortably into her Fiat Punto and the situation left us very much on the back foot. If you plan on staying at this hotel and using the bus I would advise confirming in advance that it is running.
