Affordable resort in a beach-side village.

The swimming pool was wonderful! We had easy access to it and we often had it all to ourselves. The apartment was within easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants in the old town. The kitchenette was well supplied with plates, cups and utensils. The fridge was great for keeping drinks cold. There were shops and a deli onsite.

The wi-fi signal was weak and we had to rely on cell phone data. There could have been a few more amenities. Also, we could hear loud talking by people in the alleyway below our bathroom window.

Nice spot with a beautiful view

The view was beautiful and just as shown. The apartment was nice and comfortable. The location is great and just a downhill walk into town and to the beach. The reception folks were nice and helpful. Responded quickly to an issue with the coffeemaker and loaned me a beach towel. Also the market is right there, which is nice.

The kitchen was sparsely equipped and there were no 'extras' like napkins or spices that people might have left behind that you often find when renting an apartment.

We would definitely stay here again. The beach was great and the food in town was fantastic!

The pool was fantastic! It was nice to have a small market and pastry shop on the premises. The room was small but comfortable. The management even supplied a beach umbrella.

It was a very steep walk up the hill from town. Other than that it was fine.

Zeitreise in die 70er

Das Personal an der Rezeption ist erstklassig! Die Lage mit Poolblick war ebenfalls gut, die Küche ausreichend ausgestattet, viel Platz außer im Badezimmer vorhanden. Trotz allem noch funktional.

Die Zimmer waren teils stark schmutzig und verstaubt. Die Toilette riecht sehr unangenehm, man muss auch rückwärts „einparken“, es ist sehr eng. Getrenntes Wasser kalt und warm ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Alles in allem fühlt man sich 50 Jahre zurück versetzt. Und seit dieser Zeit wurde auch nur das allernotwendigste repariert. Das defekte Sofa wird dann einfach mit einer Decke verhüllt. Sonnenschirm auf dem Balkon defekt und durch mangelnde Isolierung ist es sehr laut aus anderen Zimmern. Es gibt statt einer Klimaanlage einen Ventilator, der defekte Rolladen wurde einfach ausgebaut.

The Salema Apartment was the perfect place to call home base for enjoying the Algarve!

The apartment was in a great location, a block from the beach and restaurants and a short drive from a good grocery store and more great beaches. The pool was really nice, and a store on-site was well stocked. We had a nice patio to sit outside.

Why on earth would you carry out major pool Works in peak season The reason we stay here is the massive pool and the lounging area It was coffered in brick dust and men were drilling and digging and it was dreadful

Beautiful old original well kept property. Amazing views and short walk to an amazing beach. Everything from laundry service to a well supplied mercado all in house...

Relaxing stay, lovely room, great location near beach and village

very spacious and comfortable room with large private terrace and partial view of the sea. well appointed, great beds, excellent water pressure in the shower. quiet and relaxing. kitchenette well equipped. Appreciated the well stocked market and fresh baked goods! staff was kind and attentive.

Superb

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. Good facilities on site and great view of pool and beach.

More sockets would have been good.

I like this apartment and highly recommend it.

Great property with balcony, with a view to the ocean from second and third floors, spacious unit with kitchen, free parking, walking distance to the beach, small convenient store and cafe right at the door, nice pool, fabulous staff.

socket in bedroom loose from wall reported but no action taken. very narrow beds. air con noisy.

A great place for recuperating.

Staff are great - problems with internet down at the town flat but I was moved and also given a fantastic router by the receptionist.

Difficult to think of anything that was unlikeable.

Highly recommend, just know that it’s great but not top of the line. We would stay here again.

Terrific location and our unit #17 had a wonderful view of the ocean. The unit is tired bu well equipped. The beds are twin but very comfy. The shower is wonderful.

The property overall is a bit tired like noticing has changed in 30 years but it’s a great location and value.

Good location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The beds were not great. We had problems with the shower and sink that were never resolved (though they tried). Very dated with no coffee maker (the first ever in our travels). Outside furniture was in horrible condition and dirty.

Great location, facilities need better maintenance

The location is great and the staff is very helpful

The apartment didn't have air conditioning neither Wifi. We were provided the next day with a mobile router. In general the facilities are great but they are in poor state of maintenance, it is was properly maintained then it would be great all across the board

Amazing location and property but beds need replacing as they are uncomfortable and noisy.

The location, pool and view are all amazing!

The beds are old and very noisy every time you move! Also the plugs in the kitchen are all too high up got the toaster and kettle.

Overall great.

Friendly, kind, accommodating host. Beautiful pool and decorative tile and garden area.

Door lock with a key was cumbersome. Did not feel safe using key to get out of the apartment. Took a bit to get it open.

The pool area was nice, as well as the view.

At night there was some noise from drunken tourists walking home. The door handle was difficult to open, I spoke to the receptionist who told me someone would look at it, no one ever came.
