Pleasant ambiance in an old city town house with a lot of history. Very friendly receptionist (s) and night watchman, who all have a long history working at the hotel.
Good breakfast.
Room and bathroom was fairly small.
Pillow too fat for my liking.

I stayed in Hotel Stadt Hannover several times already. Is my first option when I need to stay in Göttingen city center. Also if my family is visiting me, we dont think twice, this is our option. The staff is super friendly, they are very helpful in case that you came with a lot of luggage for example. The breakfast feels like home in separated round tables, and you can enjoy your own coffee urn, those little details make the difference. For me as a scientist this is a perfect place to stay in Göttingen if you need to do some work or just want to chill in a central location. Bonus: is just steps from the train station.
I mean, is not a modern hotel, which is ok, but you need to consider that, in case that you expect the last technology tools, maybe this is not the location for a technology freak.
