The staff and Dani were particularly friendly and welcoming. We listened to countless enjoyable and informative stories from Dani. Breakfast was very pleasant with something special every day. The view of lake Thun and the mountains from our room was amazing! The room furnishing was charming and vintage collector level family heritage level. So much so we were a little concerned we would break something.
The restaurant was closed so no dinner or lunch: only breakfast. The hotel is a good ten to fifteen minute drive from Interlaken so dinner would have been rather nice an option. Ultimately the hotel felt like it became more of a bed and breakfast setup and so for the price paid we thought it rather on the expensive side for what it was.

"Warm hospitality and a home away from home"
My wife and I stayed here for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Dani, the hotel owner, whose genuine hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. The hotel is managed by Dani and his wife Linda, and together they are truly exceptional hosts.
The property is beautifully managed and has a lovely, welcoming home-like atmosphere. As a thoughtful touch, Dani upgraded our room and provided us with a balcony room, which was a delightful surprise. Upon check-in, we were even treated to homemade cheese and fresh juice — a lovely welcome gesture.
Throughout our two-day stay, Dani and Linda took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was served fresh every morning with incredible views — the perfect way to start the day. On checkout, Dani went above and beyond by kindly driving us to the train station in his car.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Fassbind Beausite! Our room was quiet and beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. We especially loved that many of the breakfast items had their own special stories behind them—it made the experience feel even more unique.
The hosts were so friendly, informative, and creative, and there were lots of sweet little surprises throughout our stay. The friendly dogs were an added bonus too! 😊
We had an excellent time and would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for making our visit so special!
Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but the location into Beatenberg has one main road from Interlaken. Driving back up the mountain later at night (around 10pm) on one of the two nights we stayed, we were stuck at the base of the hill for probably 20-30 minutes because there was roadwork ongoing. It would not prevent us from staying here again, we would just be mindful of our return time in the evenings.
As they clearly state on their website, no AC, but there is a tower fan that is strong!

I think this is possibly one of the best properties available, especially if you’re driving and willing to stay in Beatenberg. The property itself is wonderful, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the host.
He was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. What really stood out was that, completely on his own initiative and without us even asking, he brought halal food for us outside the regular menu. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is rare and made us feel genuinely cared for.
He also serves food grown on his own farm during breakfast, which made the experience even more special and authentic. The combination of the beautiful property, peaceful location, amazing hospitality, and personal touches made our overall experience truly exceptional. Highly recommended!
