The hotel, the pool, the views, the beds, all are amazing. The room was very spacious, the bed was amazing. The swimming pool looked really nice.
The staff. I’ve been in Lebanon for 6 weeks now, and this is the first time I did not feel welcomed. The staff looked annoyed and like they didn’t have time for you. In the evening I wanted to sit at the rooftop bar. It was 20:00 and I was informed this wasn’t possible anymore since it would close at 20:30. But the staff downstairs hadn’t informed me about this. When I asked if I could have a table for 1 at the restaurant on the roof, I was told in an arrogant way that this in no way was possible because it works with reservation and is a set menu for at least 4 persons. So how could I possibly think I could join the restaurant.
None of this was communicated. When I asked downstairs at reception about this, they just shrugged their shoulders saying the rooftop is a different organization.
I was very surprised. At every airbnb and hotel until know, things have been properly communicated and staff would go out of their way to accommodate you. And I’m not expecting special treatment. Just clear and respectful communication.
