We liked everything - the welcome, the room and the monkeys, the infinity pool that you could swim in and look over the lake, the wildlife around the hotel (birds, bats, lizards, squirrels), the attentive, friendly staff in the restaurant that seemed to cater for all tastes
Just the price of wine at dinner, which turned out to be way more expensive than expected. I think tax was added, so the price you see on the menu isn’t what you pay

Great views
I am not sure why this place came so highly recommended…? It felt like a tourist money factory lacking in personal touch. It’s a bit tired and worn. Breakfast “looked” good but was actually bad (cold food, cheap machine coffee, busy and noisy), 10% service charge on everything, even items with no service (renting the pool table or table tennis bats). It wasn’t terrible but for the price, it didn’t even come close to other 5* hotels (try a Jetwing Hotel and you’ll see what I mean)
