Hotel Saudade was truly one of the most comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable places we have ever spent a week.
From the moment we arrived, the entire team made our family vacation in Croatia special. We booked a half-board stay, which included a rich buffet breakfast and dinner each evening, with a choice of five different dishes.
There are so many thoughtful details that make this hotel stand out. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the property feels safe and welcoming, and the sea views are simply breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner are served right above the beach, creating a wonderful view and atmosphere. Guests also enjoy free sun loungers and umbrellas, parking, beach towels, and books, as well as laundry service. Our room had a refrigerator with reasonably priced drinks, and we were welcomed with complimentary bottles of water and cookies — such lovely little touches!
And then there is the food! Everything was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. As a seafood lover, I especially appreciated the fresh fish available every evening, prepared beautifully. A special thank-you to the chef for the wonderful meals!
The hospitality deserves special mention as well. From the warm welcome at reception to everyone who looked after us during our stay, we always felt genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for.
Gradac is a charming and vibrant little Adriatic town, with plenty to see, enjoy, and explore. Within a 5–10 minute walk, you can find restaurants, cafés and ice cream shops, small stores, a pharmacy, post office, bank, souvenir and beach shops, as well as a beautiful promenade closed to cars. There are also excursions to nearby islands and live-music evenings, so there is plenty to enjoy beyond the hotel.
I wholeheartedly recommend this 4-star hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing Croatian getaway with a beautiful beach, delicious food, stunning views, and genuinely warm hospitality.Thank you, Hotel Saudade, for a wonderful stay. We would happily return!
Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like during our stay. Everything from the beautiful location and delicious food to the cleanliness and wonderful hospitality made our vacation truly enjoyable, and we would happily return.

De locatie is geweldig, recht tegenover een strand (kiezel) met eigen strandbedden van het hotel, het ontbijt was goed geregeld, wel heel strikt einde van ontbijt, wilde nog een koffie 5 minuten nadat ontbijt was geëindigd en we nog aan de ontbijttafel zaten, maar die werd opgeschreven als aparte koffie.
Wij verbleven in suite 503 en daar hing een sterke rioollucht. Wanneer we de badkamerdeur gesloten hielden, was dit nog enigszins te verdragen. Op een avond waren we vergeten de deur dicht te doen en toen was de stank zo nadrukkelijk aanwezig dat we de balkondeur hebben geopend om de kamer te luchten.
Daarnaast viel de deurklink van de badkamer regelmatig los. Deze kon weliswaar steeds teruggeplaatst worden, maar dat is natuurlijk niet de bedoeling. Beide problemen heb ik gemeld bij de receptie. De deurklink is daarna teruggezet, maar niet goed vastgemaakt, waardoor deze opnieuw losraakte. Over de rioollucht hebben wij echter niets meer vernomen.
Gezien de prijs en het verwachte niveau van een 4-sterrenaccommodatie had ik verwacht dat er opvolging zou worden gegeven aan deze melding. Bij de receptie werd verbaasd gereageerd, maar zowel tijdens ons verblijf als bij het uitchecken is hier niets meer over gezegd, terwijl er meerdere medewerkers aanwezig waren. Dat vond ik erg jammer en heeft onze ervaring negatief beïnvloed.
