We stayed at Hotel Union for four nights and had such a lovely experience. It was one of those stays where we could genuinely switch off, slow down and rest. We booked one of the basic rooms and were actually very happy with it — it was spacious, bright and comfortable, with everything we needed for a longer stay. We slept really well and appreciated how quiet the hotel was. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Everything we asked for was taken care of, and we felt genuinely welcome and looked after without the atmosphere ever becoming overly formal. Breakfast was one of the highlights — absolutely delicious, with plenty of choice and something we looked forward to every morning. We also had dinner at the hotel a couple of times and really enjoyed it. There’s also the option to order pizza, which was genuinely delicious and perfect after a long day of hiking and exploring. The spa was fantastic. Being able to come back after a day outside, swim, use the spa and properly unwind was probably one of our favourite parts of the stay. I also loved the hotel itself. It’s a beautiful, classic hotel with history, character and a soul - very different from the generic, interchangeable feeling you often get from big hotel chains. There are lovely spaces to sit, read, have a drink or simply enjoy being there. The hotel felt like part of the experience of visiting Geiranger rather than just somewhere to sleep.

There was a little bit of gender-assuming in some interactions. Nothing that spoiled our stay at all, but as a non-binary guest I always appreciate when people don’t automatically go with “sir”, “ladies”, or other gendered ways of addressing guests. A little more awareness around this would make an already very welcoming hotel feel even more inclusive.

プールとジャグジーが不潔だった。　利用客が多いのに水のフィルター、取り替えが十分でない印象を受けた。 部屋に全くというほどアメニティがなかった。　vanity kitとハンドローションぐらいは置いて欲しい。 レストランの味が平凡すぎる。　朝食も毎日全く同じメニュー。 チェックアウト後に、夕食が二度チャージされていることに気が付き、返金のリクエストのメールを送っているが、２日経つのにまったく連絡がない。
