We loved everything about this place, so much so that we extended our stay by two nights and found leaving to be actually painful. The apartment was beautiful, with everything we needed to cook and make a fire, and though it was winter we didn’t ever close the doors to the lagoon. Sunrise is a festival of seabirds and sunset is lovely, and it’s really fun to watch the tide come in and out so dramatically. The staff is fantastic and the shared garden is private and peaceful. This was a perfect guesthouse experience. Somehow it affords absolute privacy but you also feel like you’re a part of a family while you’re here. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re coming to Knysna (and if you’re not you should consider it so that you can stay here).
Nothing, though the location wouldn’t be appropriate for those with mobility limitations.

Location!!!! Stunning!!! And old English cottage interiors! Gorgeous!
Issues with hot water availability , staff not available after 5pm for easy resolution. Didn’t explain how heaters worked. Each room should have had a heater but was only in the living room so got chilly at night.

The accommodation was very clean and the interior quirky, which made it feel unique. To have our own private balcony with views directly over the lagoon was very special. A great location too, at the East Head.

the incredible setting, it’s pure paradise. extremely friendly owner.
1. no soap in rooms, old soap which is unhygienic.
2. no milk on arrival late at night arrival
and a few other matters.
