This hotel has many wonderful qualities. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with incredible ocean views (I stayed in a top floor oceanfront room), a very comfortable bed, and an excellent restaurant. Every meal I had was delicious, and the staff were consistently warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful.
That said, I think it’s helpful for future guests to know what kind of experience to expect. The rooms are intentionally rustic and designed to feel open to nature, with screened openings rather than fully enclosed windows. While this creates a unique atmosphere, it also means the rooms can feel warm and humid, even with the wall mounted air conditioner, especially if you’re accustomed to more traditional hotel accommodations. I visited in July, which is also one of the hottest times of year, so that certainly contributed.
There isn’t a refrigerator in the room, and after the restaurant closes at 5:00 p.m., food options on the property are limited. If you enjoy having snacks or cold drinks in the evening, it’s worth planning ahead. Fortunately, there are a couple of good restaurants within about a five minute walk, and it’s easy to catch a taxi up the hill to Mazunte for more dining options.
If you’re looking for a rustic, nature focused stay with spectacular views, outstanding food, and genuinely kind people, this hotel could be a great fit. The hospitality here was heartfelt. As I was leaving, several staff members walked me out to say goodbye, which was such a thoughtful touch and a wonderful way to end my stay.

The property is beautiful, the rooms spacious and the sounds of the ocean are amazing! The staff was so accommodating, we especially loved Rosalia!! The food is also fantastic, so much so that we ate beachside each day. Can’t wait to return!

Great location, great view.
Communication regarding expectations and "rules" that at times seem to on the fly. Great hotel with potential yet the room had faulty electrical issues, and smells coming from the drainage ducts in the restroom. This hotel has great potential if they make the guest feel like they are the priority and not the hotel itself or management.
