Wir kamen mit offenem Mund in die Villa Patria – so überwältigt waren wir von dieser außergewöhnlichen Unterkunft. Überall gibt es wunderschöne, einzigartige Kunstgegenstände und besondere Details zu entdecken. Schon der erste Abend fühlte sich für uns ein bisschen wie „Night at the Museum“ an, nur dass wir mittendrin wohnen durften.
Was diesen besonderen Ort aber mindestens genauso einzigartig macht, sind die Menschen. Ganz besonders Wayan, die uns mit ihrer unglaublich herzlichen, hilfsbereiten und einfühlsamen Art unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht hat.
Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen war fantastisch und hat unseren Aufenthalt kulinarisch wunderbar ergänzt.
Die Villa Patria ist wirklich ein ganz besonderer Ort. Die Kombination aus der außergewöhnlicher Kunst, der wunderschönen Atmosphäre, dem fantastischen Essen und vor allem der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft hat uns tief beeindruckt.

Villa Patria is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we stayed during our trip to Bali. Perched in the hills above Lovina, it is a truly authentic Balinese villa, beautifully decorated with character, unique pieces and wonderful Asian art and objects.
The garden is absolutely stunning, lush and beautifully maintained, and the infinity pool offers an incredible view over the sea and the coast of Lovina. It is the kind of place where you immediately feel at peace and could happily spend the entire day enjoying the surroundings.
What makes Villa Patria particularly special, however, is the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive and thoughtful, while remaining discreet and respectful. A special mention to Wayan, who was absolutely lovely and took such great care of us throughout our stay. Her kindness and attention to detail really made a difference.
The whole experience feels very personal and authentic, far from the atmosphere of a standard hotel. The setting, the decoration, the garden, the view and especially the people all make Villa Patria a very special place.
We would highly recommend Villa Patria to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful and beautifully designed place to stay in Bali. We absolutely loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer!

In Bali is iedereen vriendelijk en word je goed geholpen, maar de gastvrouw en gastheer van Villa Patria gaan net een stapje verder. Alles is werkelijk perfect georganiseerd. Met name Wayan is subliem. Ze is een professionele gastvrouw die alles tot in de puntjes verzorgt. Daarnaast is ze zeer vriendelijk, zorgzaam en beschikt ze over de nodige humor. Oka is de manager en zorgt dat alles goed geregeld wordt. En Komang, de driver, brengt je graag met een grote glimlach naar Lovina Beach. De villa is erg groot en smaakvol in koloniale stijl ingericht. De pooltafel, het uitzicht op zee en het heerlijke zwembad maken het geheel af. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen die luxe en gastronomisch eten weet te waarderen!
‘s Ochtends word je al vroeg gewekt door de geluiden uit de omgeving en de natuur. Het is handig om dit van te voren te weten.
