Good to stay overnight in the National park. I mean the hotel facility and meal is exceptional.
I think it's a little overpriced, but not too bad.

Location was just 5min walk from the bus-stop at Imperial Hotel. It was good point along the Kamikochi value, easy access to the Taisho pond, Kappa bridge and Miojin Temple/Pond. The view from the room was spectacular - of the mountain and river just in front. Onsen facilities were superb, with massage chair, and indoor and outdoor pool. Amenities were complete. At the service desk, they have prepared walking sticks, umbrellas, ponchos if you need. In short, service was fantastic from their helpful staff.
