Breakfast was lovely however the cook didn't show up one morning, but the staff were all lovely and accommodating and laid out breads, fruit, and cereals, and I was always greeted cheerfully in the morning for breakfast.
A member of staff showed me the ballroom as I am a history buffs and fan of Admiral Nelson. Fascinating and I loved the history of the hotel.
I feel the lounge and the ballroom could be more accessible to guests who love history
The carpet up the stairs needs a good clean. Otherwise I loved it!

Loved the historic and traditional feel to the place.Loved historic assembly room and its history .
Staff were absolutely outstanding. Live music in bar.Felt like Doc Martiñ,meets Faulty towers meets a nursing home...love the place !

Location was good, close enough to ferry. Breakfast was good too. The team on during our visit were very friendly and hardworking.

The staff were all good.
Our room (10) was not good, the window was broken and could not be closed which we reported but nothing was done about it. The bed was far too low and was difficult to get in and out of. The bathroom was nice and clean but did not have any towel rails or toilet roll holders and there was no mirror.
The cooked breakfast was awful so we only had cereal each morning and there was never enough tables in the dining area
