The operators of this location clearly care about making their guests comfortable during all phases of their stay - prior to checking in communication was to the point and invariably swift - inimitably Dutch. From the first moment of being in Orion's space, I understood the expectations and my privileges. Friendly and clear. At every point of interaction with staff or the property my expectations were either met or - much more often - exceeded completely. Rooms are small by American standards... but American standards are ridiculous. A room is a sanctuary, not the reason for being somewhere. It gives some spice, but mostly a warm welcome. And in this light, Hotel Orion is 100% THE place to stay near Rotterdam Centraal in this individual's opinion. If there's availability, it'll be my choice.

Absolutely everything. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was really good especially the omelette.

Excellent free breakfast and Marco was very helpful in everyway.
No elevator, but that is to be expected when staying in a historic area. However, Marco carried our bags up and down the stairs.

Quiet, near the city center. Family owned hotel and warm welcoming hosts. Nice and spacious room with bathroom.
