A perfect start!

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Sharmila prepared us a delicious dinner which we enjoyed while talking to her and her husband. Breakfast was also yummy. They helped us with everything and gave us advice about our itinerary. The room was very nice; we enjoyed the balcony and the beds were great! Would love to come back here.

Couldn´t have wished for a better place to start our holidays in Sri Lanka.

Superb

Mdm sarmillah and her husband sampath and her daughter Ms Dina Very good and friendly and super service. The breakfast was good and delicious. The room house was lovely but bit old need some renovation it should make guest happy. Kochikadu nice good area .I was very happy 😊 my stay.The cycle was very very helpful.

Nothing compliant..only need small renovation. Excellent.

This host family were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food that was cooked for us was absolutely beautiful, breakfast and dinner. They also provided free bikes to cycle around the area. Perfect place to stay to chill after/before flying. Couldn't recommend more

The best place you have ever been in you live!

I loved everything about this amazing place! facilities are great, everything is working perfectly. beds were very comfortable. but the most amazing part of the Villa is the owner - Sharmila and her husband are so hospitable, friendly, they will help with everything and even more! Breakfast with a garden view is also amazing. I highly recommend this place for everyone. Here you will feel like you are a part of family.

Exceptional

Hotel's location is perfect and they give you free bicycles to explore the city. Owners are the best! A couple full of love and spreading their love with customers. We stayed 2 days and they helped us with everything like where to eat, tips to how to go to another city. With the given tips about going to another city, we re-arrange our trip and saved hours that had spend on road. Also they let us use the kitchen and give us extra fan-with no charge.

Exceptional kindness

The kindness of Sharmila was simply stunning. The breakfast was excellent and way above the price, and the host succeded to change 500 to LKR in the middle of the night when we arrived. Highly recommended.

Great experience

Truly everything! Owners were incredibly generous and went beyond themselves. The room was simple, but was well equipped with A/C, comfortable beds, balcony and hot shower etc. Everything was spotlessly clean! The breakfast was really delicious and one of the best we had during our one month in Sri Lanka. The room is close to beach and to the beach road, where you'll find shops, restaurants etc.

The family owns this house are beyond kind and helpful and very welcoming. Rooms were made available to us on our early hours arrival.. the guest house is a great starting and ending point as is close to town center and airport. The owners arranged our 12 day tours and advised us on the places to go and see the trips they arranged for us were incredible nothing was to much trouble for them. Definitely recommend this family home stay we would like to say a huge THANKYOU to Shamilla and Sampath for making our stay in Sri Lanka a memorable one.

Super friendly owners, they told us alot about their country at the start of our trip and also let us into the apartment at 4 am in the morning when our flight landed. The room was very big and the garden was really beautiful. We could even do a late checkout without additional charges it was overall a great experience starting our trip.

We loved all aspects of Villa Taprobane. The owners always took their time to explain everything of Negombo and just talk to us. The breakfasts were really delicious and very big with juicy, sweet fruits. The place is a bit far from the city, but thanks to which it is peace and quiet :)

Wellness & Fellowship Retreat

The bedrooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff was accommodating and rearranged the L/R and D/R furniture as we needed. The small generator provided sufficient power to operate lights, spacious fridge and LR fans during the extended power cuts. The LRs were spacious and the large French doors let in a lovely breeze from the beautiful garden.

The kitchen area could be cleaner.

Warm family like stay

Hosts were exceptional and went out of their way to make us feel welcome

Facilities can improve but another reason is not having enough funds because of the impact of covid on tourism and hence understandable

A peaceful, comfortable vacation

The bed was very comfortable. The beautiful garden was cool and shady enough to sit out in until late morning and from early evening. My cats also loved it! Location in an old residential part of town provided the opportunity for peaceful walks down quiet streets. The hostess Sharmila and her family were lovely and helpful and made me feel right at home.

The place is great. Highly recommend it!

The hosts are amazing! The place is awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and super safe. All sorts of shops walking distance or you can take a tuk tuk. The wifi was great the whole time. I highly recommend this place for families, couples or single travellers. I travelled with my kitty and he had a great time exploring the villa :) huge bonus for me!

Cozy and Comfortable Stay! Friendly and Accommodating Staff!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. She even stayed up late to open the gate in the middle of the night/early morning and was up early for our early departure. Really appreciate the tea as well (with no additional cost), a well appreciated kind gesture. Great working facilities, clean and comfortable room. Great value for money!

Parking space was a bit tight, couldn't have managed with 2 vehicles.
