Value for money, ease of location
I’ve stayed a couple of times at this property, great no fuss accommodation, but the bathrooms are freezing and drainage seems to be a challenge, water everywhere

Great place to stay if going snowboarding. It’s right next to Hoys where you can rent gear and snow chains. It also has a drying room for gear. The hotel is located close to a river and has nice open spaces for picnics or to wander around.

Been there the second time, and I would book again. Good location, hassle free check-in, parking nearby.
There was a noisy large group in the living area, but it didn't bother us much. We just slept there. It would have been perfect for those many families who booked together with kids playing together.
We discovered a drying room, which was a lifesaver after the rainy ski day.
The small heater in the room struggles to heat up the room. It was not cold, but certainly not overheated either.
A little over or air fryer in the kitchen would be handy. Or something to cook some eggs etc...The kitchen is there....

The location was right in Harrietville, though there's very little to it.
They're the cheapest accommodation in the area with your own bathroom.
The bed was like lying on springs, the toilet/bathroom had cobwebs all over the roof. The walls are paper thin and the place just feels tired and rundown.
We also asked for a discretionary cancellation despite knowingly booking a no cancellation option due to unforeseeable no snow in the mountains, and were not remotely accommodated or even considered for it or even a reschedule. Whilst I can't legally fault them for this, it's extremely short sighted as we'd consequently never book again because clearly money is more important to them than thier customers wanting to actually be there.
