This is a wonderful little hotel to enjoy the lake. Comfortable rooms, very helpful and kind staff. Kayaks are included to visit Biwa island. Beautiful location. I truly enjoyed my stay.
While I was able to forest bath daily, there is some obstacle if you do not have a car. Only a few places are walking distance, and cabs are limited. However, the amazing staff was helpful in both suggestions on where to go, and helping me get there.

The breakfast is very good. The typical Japanese style breakfast was delicious. The host was very nice and took good care of us. The resort is nearby numerous mountains and a good base for day trips.
We were there during a heatwave and the room heat up quite quickly. The air conditioning did the job. The beds were very soft and there is only a small fridge in the room. If you want coffee or thee you have to go down stairs.

Guests have to dispose of rubbish themselves/bring rubbish home
Breakfast lacks variety and freshness
Seems sausage is sliced and then a few of the sliced piece are flattened, fried and served.
Lacks volume and satisfaction.
