Problème de langue avec les employés

Good location, a very nice Asian-style breakfast with a few options that also cater to Western tastes, and excellent value for money considering what the hotel offers. To be fair, despite all these communication difficulties, if I visited the city again I might still consider staying here, mainly because the hotel offers good value overall.

The biggest problem was communication. The staff spoke very little English, which made even simple requests unnecessarily difficult. I tried for three days to pay with my Visa card. Twice a day, every day, I asked to settle the bill, but the staff seemed familiar only with payments through WeChat. On the third day, at around 11 p.m., the receptionist called me to say that I had “not paid”. At that point I went down to reception extremely frustrated and explained that I had been trying to pay for three days, but no one had been able to process my card properly. In the end, I was practically forced to create a WeChat account simply so that they could accept my payment. The communication problem was also obvious from the first evening. I politely asked the receptionist to recommend a good Chinese restaurant. He asked me whether I liked Arabic food. I clearly replied that I did not and that I specifically wanted a Chinese restaurant. Despite this, he sent me to an Arabic restaurant in an area full of Middle Eastern and Central Asian restaurants. I eventually ended up eating a burger. My overall impression was that the staff often did not really understand what I was asking. They seemed to rely on standard responses, nodding and saying “yes” even when they had clearly not understood the request. I did like the breakfast because there was a wide selection of Asian dishes as well as some Western options. However, the quality of some of the ingredients could definitely be improved. To be fair, despite all these communication difficulties, if I visited the city again I might still consider staying here, mainly because the hotel offers good value overall.
