The family like accommodation with the very kind owner ready to help and address all the request. The place is in the good location and with the rent goes also the older foldable bikes suitable to make the town visits and shopping the missing supplies. The Museum of glass of Karolinka is very close where you can lean about the history of town and pick up some additional tourist info, available also in the apartment. I highly recommend to visit also the nearby "Ratkovsky senk" restaurant with stylish furniture and excellent local seasonal food. The restaurant is located on yellow trail, from which it is possible to make a round trip from Karolinka through Tanecnica peak to Novy Hrozenkov, where in hot weather you can swim in "Balaton" water reservoir. From apartment you can connect in couple meter to "Becva river" bike trail from where you can go to Vsetin and visit a castle (30km ) or even up to Valaske Medzirici. The nearby town Velke Karlovice ( 5 km ) offers in its Kycera center man Ski centers, and during summer it is possible for more advanced bikers to try out the Kycerka bike part with mountain bikes ( bike rental possible ). To taste a pear flavored Frgal cake is a must otherwise you have actually not been in Valassko region :) Valasska slivovica is optional ;)
For me it was not a problem, but some might miss the absence of the Wifi. Maybe this is the only thing someone could miss in the case of wrong weather. Although as a real tourist says, there is no wrong weather, just improper clothes for hike :). For foreign visitors maybe the availability of the local TV channels only might be a little inconvenient, but once they will go out, I do not think they will care about the TV :)
