We booked this place simply as a base for visiting Sossusvlej but we loved it in its own right. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the staff were lovely. The cabins are arranged in a loose arc around the base of a rocky outcrop and a communal dining space sits slightly above, together with a very small (and cold) but very impressively located pool. The food was plentiful and good and you can also use the more developed facilities of the Namib Naukluft Lodge, which is a 10-minute walk away. Best of all were the amazing views across the desert and the dark skies at night. We also loved watching the many birds and other animals which are there.
The pool is cut into the rock is small and was cold when we visited in August. But it's not an issue as there is a larger pool at the main lodge which would be better for those who want to swim.

We had such a wonderful time here, we arrived a little later than we expected. Upon check in we were upgraded to the Naukluft Lodge which was such a wonderful surprise - we had a wonderful dinner. The staff were absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to make u feel welcome.
Breakfast the next morning was great. We would've stayed another night if we could.
