Excellent location, very quiet, excellent food, very nice staff.

Everything was perfect.

We liked the place, the size of the rooms and the bathrooms. The staff was very welcoming.

We were disappointed to discover that the restaurant was closed the two days we were staying there. There was not any lobby. We were also disappointed to discover that there were not any staff, absolutely nobody at the hotel in the afternoon, evening and night. The place and the terrasse were very pleasant but we could not sit there in the late afternoon and ask for a drink. We could not ask for bottles of water. In the small fridge there were only beer, wine, and small boxes of cheese and salami leftovers.

A truly beautiful and quiet guesthouse on the canal in a residential area. We loved the building and location and the room was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was good and the check in process was flexible given our schedule. There was also plenty of parking and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was good and the gluten free option was exceptional for the one of us that required it.

The toilet wasn't cleaned which was emblematic that the room may not have been fully cleaned prior to our arrival. My partner would have also preferred her egg to be warm rather than cold, but that was a minor concern as the rest of breakfast was nice.

The room was comfortable and clean on arrival. The location of the hotel is lovely, quiet and with a nice view of the canal. The staff we met were friendly and helpful (but: see below). There was plenty of parking on site. The breakfast was good (but: see below).

We staid for 3 nights and there was noone at reception for the whole time (on check-out on our last morning, we had to ask one of the kitchen staff to deal with this - not good during prime breakfast time). There was noone at the hotel even on arrival although we arrived at 3p.m. well within the time span indicated by the hotel. The keys were left in a keybox but we had difficulty opening the front door with the key left for us - the key had to be exchanged the next day. We received the information that there would be noone at the hotel on arrival by text message just as we arrived - we had been driving all day. Breakfast is not available until after 8.30 - no prior warning of this on the website - which created a difficulty as we had a time ticket for that morning, for the Keukenhof. We had chosen the hotel because it offered a restaurant (so we would not need to go out again in the evening) - but on arrival we found that the restaurant is closed half the week! So - no restaurant on site for us for the whole of our stay. Finally, the room was clean on arrival but was not cleaned for three days although we had asked for it once.
