We had the best time at Sunset shack. Even though there was noisy road construction, which started at 5:30 in the mornin

It has the best location and your stuff. I have to tell you is awesome.

I didn’t like the fact that there was nobody in the office and we kept on having to run to the Harmony. When we were checking out one of your weight staff called over there and asked if someone could come over. No one showed up so we had to run back to harmony to check out. The lady came to Sunset shock which cost more time and also a pay cash for the balance and it’s not reflecting on a recent email invoice? I paid in full and they were actually a couple dollars left over..

Nice little beach hotel to get away and destress and enjoy awesome waves and sunsets

The location was great - a map inside the room outlining shops, bars and maybe paths to places would be great. wanted to walk to Playa Pelada but only roads show up on waze or Google naps. Insider tips on jungle paths to take would be helpful. Front office check-in/out staff very friendly and process easy.

I thought the price was a little high. The road construction was challenging but realize that is not the fault of the hotel. Often times I would come to the bar for a beer or food - staff helpful but not always friendly - spent more time talking to each other and friends who would visit than refilling water or asking if you wanted anything else. One guy - Axel- was awesome!

We loved our stay and if we return to Costa Rica, we will look to stay here again.

the food at the restaurant was some of the best that we had in Nosara. Also the best lemonade and margaritas! I loved that it didn't feel busy even though the hotel was full. There was always a spot by the pool and in the restaurant. Having surf board storage was very helpful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly in booking restaurant reservations and transportation when needed.

The staff at the Sunset Shack were most accommodating; helping us with booking adventures and travel to & from destinations. They recommended incredible restaurants & local things to do. The staff is amazing & cordial! The food at Al Chile is absolutely fresh & delicious. Definitely has the Pura Vida vibe. The room was extremely spacious & very clean. We had everything we needed and I can't say enough about the cleanliness of the grounds, and the beauty. The staff is kind, friendly, courteous and amazing people! :) Reccomend this place 1,000%!!

Beautiful little hotel close to the beach, great food

Lovely ground floor rooms for our family of 5, located near the pool. Both clean and attractive with comfy chairs on the terrace outside. The pool area was beautiful and felt like a little oasis. Breakfasts were excellent and the evening meals very good too. Brian on reception organised surfing lessons with Nosara Surf School for our 3 teenagers which was a huge success. All in all, an excellent 2 night stay.

The staff, the location, the design and the small touches. It was very comfortable, clean and peaceful. I also like spaciousness of the rooms and the high speed internet for working.

Great service !

The hotel is next to the Harmony hotel (same hotel chain) so it is in the center, close to the beach, and the service is excellent. Tatiana at the reception provided us with exceptional service. In general the whole staff was courteous. The room is clean, and the food in the restaurant is delicious.

We took a large room, which was amazingly decorated, but had a smell of dampness, which was solved by placing a machine that absorbs moisture - thanks to Tatiana ! (otherwise it would not have been possible to stay in the room ( The mattresses were relatively soft for my taste.

the doors to the rooms are a bit flimsy and it’s a littke run down looking . But I am 57 . I think it woukd seem like paradise for a backpacker . seems expensive for the small basic room

Perfect surf hub for Playa Guiones.

Amazing location, friendly staff, nice boutique, great food, breakfast included, nice pool, lots of shade, monkeys + mangoes. Coffee maker and kitchen in room were perfect. Fresh cold water included. Beds for the teenagers. Big shower.

Rooms on ground level, if you have your curtains open, which is ideal, people/staff will look in. No privacy. Boutique insanely overpriced. No refunds even if only 1 minute after you paid. Not much to buy there. Need more amenities, like body lotion, in rooms. Sunscreen (ocean-safe) be nice too. Nowhere to buy snacks on property, this would be good to have. Surfboards, paddleboards + bikes to rent or borrow would be really key to the perfect stay. Feel they are customary now days.

Great proximity to the beach. El Chile, the restaurant attached, had amazing food. The staff at both locations were on point and very accommodating.

First of all the places stayed , Sunset Shack has the most amazing breakfast! Also I love the shower head. The rooms have a style that I like. Off course it’s a close walk to the beach for sunset which at Nosara is like a religious experience.

I wish it was closer to Howlers. But what can you do.

We had a comfortable visit. I wish we had planned a longer stay. The staff members were kind and helpful. It is a relaxing place.

WIFI in the room was very weak. There was a mold smell under the sink where the safe is.
