Old place But I like that

I came from Mumbai to Addis Ababa, then took a bus from Addis to Bahir Dar. This hostel was a gem with the value you pay. I asked them to buy the return bus ticket, pick up to the bus station in the early morning and they happily did. The best part was they helped me get an excellent tour package of the Lake Tana and the Blue Niles Waterfall, with very good price for one day, as I was tight with my schedule. The tour went very well with excellent and safe vehicles (car and boat), great guides, and all important places. The room I got has a queen size bed, shower and toilet attached, with good privacy and cleanliness. I stayed two nights and will do it again when I have a chance.Please support this property as well as the Bahir Dar. They are waiting and very happy to serve you to the best of their abilities.

Location was good and staff were friendly and helpful.

Guests can't use the kitchen which means this is NOT a backpackers place. I had to buy charcoal to cook my breakfast. Staff made it clear that use of kitchen was not allowed by the owner which was very disappointing. Rooms need shelves or hangers for clothes. Also there was no hot water. The electrical outlets need to be repaired.
